Hi guys, i got a nice 42'' panel that in its specification needs 5 Even LVDS pairs and 5 Odd LVDS pairs, but i want to run it on 4 Even / Odd motherboard...
Is it possible to convert it from 10 bit to 8 bit LVDS system? Ie, if i dont connect the 5th pair on the Panel will it produce a picture?
I don't want to blow something up.... Thanks!

Hi guys, I have ZG7190R-9 motherboard from grunding TV that i need schematic for, or at least a pinout for a 51 pin connector that goes to TCON board.

Hi guys,
I have a Quadro 32'' TV set brought by a friend that can only be turned on/off on the remote, it doesn't react to any other remote keys, we tried the universal remote and it also does the same, turns on /off and nothing else.
I tried the "joystick" button on the motherboard and it can do vol up / vol down / source select.
Can it be that a "child lock" is enabled and its forbidding pressing of the other keys? Anyone had that situation?
Model: Quadro 32pn42t2hevc

I did, all the tests i have done are with new battery... I did found and replaced Viper22a but it didn't help... might be some of the SMD components that are faulty but it's a hell to find out which.

A friend gave me this ups, problem is that it charges battery but doesn't convert 12V to 220V, I tested all transistors, diodes, mosfets, relays and everything seems fine.
UPS uses VIPER22A chip which while ups is connected to 220V source has 10V on VDD pin (4), but when disconected from the wall VIPER looses voltage and ups dies.
Some symptons so far:
With only 220V input UPS wont turn on.
Without battery ups just clicks and doesn't turn on the screen.
With battery it turns on and beeps only, no output.
With battery and 220V input it works and... -

Hi again, i did some testing and here are the results:
off -- on button pressed -- PSON to GND
SLP S3 3,3V -- 0V -- 0V
SLP S4 3,3V -- 3,3V -- 0V
DEEP S5 0,06V -- 0,06V -- 0,1V
RSTCON 0V -- 0V -- 3,3V
PSON 5V -- 5V -- 0V
When i pull PSON to gnd mbo starts (but no picture is shown), same as when green wire is pulled to gnd on PSU.
Any ideas ?

Hi, RSMRST is always present (3,3V). on the IO chip, and on the resistors near the northbridge / southbridge chip
Btw, i did some capacitors testing on the CPU itself, most of them test shorted when using diode test on multimeter, is that normal or could it be that the cpu has died?Leave a comment:

p8h61-m lx3 wont start
Hi, friend gave me ASUS P8H61 motherboard with i5 3470 which died after he connected shorted PSU to it.
Motherboard has 3.3V on "power button" connectors and the LED on the bottom shines, but nothing happens when I press power button... I tried to jump start PSU (green wire to the ground) and all voltage regulators on the board start up and produce voltage, even the CPU fan spins.
Board is powered by NUVOTON NCT5535D and on PIN_29 voltage drops to 0 when powerbutton is pressed, but there is no schematic online either for the board or the 5535D.

Hi guys, R J i did some testing, i think q506 might be the problem.
Resistors measured:
R688 0.18 / 0.20 Ohm
R598 5 Ohm
R599 340 Ohm
R602 5 Ohm
Q511 and Q512 seem okay, but take a look at the Q506 vs Q507 and Q509. Q506, Q507 and Q509 should have a same role, but Q506's B and Uf are both 0.
I did not measure voltages at the Q's, will do that and report soon

R692 = -11mV
R696 = -8mV
R694 = -14mB
R690 = 4mV
R688 = +32V

Quick update, i checked all the voltages on and from the regulators and they seem okay... Interesting thing is this:
It shuts off instantly if the impedance switch is set to 8 Ohms
It only works on one speaker on channel A on 4 Ohm impedance setting, if anything else is connected to output it shuts down instantly
If the volume is turned beyond 60% it shuts down on channel A

Hi guys, a friend brought me a Yamaha RXV595 that turns off after 3 seconds, eventually it stays turned on for longer time but if the input selector knob is turned either way it shuts off instantly.
Since i never repaired a audio equipment before, i hope someone might help on this issue.
I downloaded the service manual and this is what i get when it boots into service mode:

Flatron W2240s power board oscilating voltage
Hi, i have a problem with Flatron W2240 and tu68c8-7a power board, board should have +5.1V, +22V for logic board and inverter but my voltages jump from +2.8V to 5.2V on 5V rail, and from 21.7V to 22.5V on 22V rail when logic board is connected, and when its unpluged they oscilate +/-0.2V from nominated voltages...
Anyhow, changing caps didn't help, so i tested for shorts and found nothing shorted. I powered the logic board with external +5V and monitor worked

Hello, a friend brought Lenovo 5250 with broken lcd screen. Backlight fuse was blown and one ceramic cap shorted to ground... Anyhow, new screen will be replaced but there is one thing bothering me now. I reckon i saw 19V on lvds cable going to backlight fuse, but now when screen is disconnected it only shows 11.8V.
So a question, what voltage should be present for backlight 11.9V or 19V, i think something else might be off?
LCD Model is LG LP156WH4. -
