Can't write on mxic mx25l640E with Ch341 (WSON package)

So i found something strange, i have a mac a1370, already took the dump from the mx25l640E, i dont have the adapter but i managed to solder it on a board adapter with cables



I can read from it

I can erase it (VERY SLOW THO)

but cant write on it, am using CH341 3v (came modded from where i brought it)

Also using NeoProgrammer 2.1.0.19

What can i do?

It is and is also listed on autodetect mode

What is the voltage to ground of pin #3 (WP#) on this IC?

If it is a logic low = ~0 volts, then the memory IC is write-protected. You can hardwire this pin #3 to the Vcc (3v3) pin #8 to remove this hardware write-protect feature.

That is, on the chip, directly wire pin #3 to pin #8 - do not feed pin #3 back to the programmer circuit.

So WP# is always getting 3.3v

So that is not the fault. Is the flash memory a brand new device or was pulled from a donor board?

Another thread on this forum reported success in r/w/e of the same device.

So that is not the fault. Is the flash memory a brand new device or was pulled from a donor board?

Another thread on this forum reported success in r/w/e of the same device.

It was pulled from a board, previously was working but had EFI password

After erasing a sector, try writing 55 AA pattern. Then verify the pattern wrote.

Sorry for not answering, i've just found that bios chip is damaged, i switched to another and is working well, thank you so much, anyway the new software version is usefull for me, thanks alot
