    A2141 no signal on external screen while recovery

    I dont do Macs, so i really dont know their specific behavior, but i received one (from the title) with smashed screen. It is turning on..but i dont want to buy a new screen to find out it is locked or dead or something. So, i removed lcd connector from motherboard and i am using adapter from usb-c to hdmi to connect laptop to external monitor. It seems that laptop is wiped because it goes to recovery (internet) and at first it seems all ok...i can see apple logo and downloading ios, then when it goes to installation i can see progress bar, and after couple of seconds it goes to "no signal" on external monitor?!
    I dont know is that normal? Do i need original lcd to see progress or? Maybe it is switching from internal gpu to another and one of them is dead? Or maybe i need some special usb-c to hdmi cabel, some original from apple?
    I checked voltages on the board and everything seems ok.

      Try booting in safe mode.

              This device came in due to the screen flickering if you use the touchpad or external mouse. It will flicker black when this occurs. If you use the touchscreen, the behavior does not appear. Also, if connected to external monitor, the external monitor is not affected by the flickering.               Hey ya'll this is my first post on here. I recently aquired a used/broken 2019 mbp 16 a2141 with the 820-01700 board. Seller told me that the laptop needed a new lcd. However upon doing some troubleshooting i found out the lcd is fine.

              Laptop boots like a normal, plays chime, touchbar lights up however there is no image on the internal lcd. If i connect and external monitor while its already on, nothing happens and no image is displayed on external. However if i restart or boot the machine while its plugged in, the external then works and a backlight is now visible on the laptop....

              Macbook Air M2 A2681 Kernel panics after screen replacement

              Just had a customer bring in a M2 MBA A2681 that had had a screen replacement in April at another repairer. Since then, she has been getting intermittent kernel panics. It's an aftermarket screen, and of course it fails in diagnostics as the calibration hasn't been done. The error in the panic log is "No device added after powering on the rails".

              It seems the original repairer has swapped the board and the screen to other MAC's, and said that it isn't a screen issue. From what I understand, by doing a quick search on Google, this is in fact a screen issue. The panic relates...

              Hi,

              I have a iphone XS that came in for a screen replacement, the screen was badly cracked, and inside missing scues, on the back of the screen still the blue protector, the screen was a LCD. So we replaced the screen and all good, installed the screen and we noticed that pressing the screen with a bit of force but not excessive, the phone dies. After plugging the charger it turns back on, but again if you press it it dies. I open the phone again, and I can't see anything major, with the phone open, if I press on the logic board, battery, charging board, or even putting pressure on...
