    Nintendo Switch EMMC Shorted Ceramic Capacitor Repair

    I had a switch come to me with no power. A short on the main power management Ic and the video output encoder. As I've repaired a few of these consoles with these two Ics faulty I swapped them expecting it to have made the fault go away. Unfortunately there was still a short circuit across these devices, turns out the EMMC board was the cause. I pulled the memory Ic off to still have a short…caused by a MLCC

    I did a YouTube video showing this, I lost the cap in question it stuck to my iron I'll update soon with its value

    You had some balls to to that job and I don't mean solder ones either
