Re: GORDAK 952 Rework soldering station problems
OP must have had the pump on full blast, for a long time then? It must be, I have seen 15k-18k 3W there. A 18k dissipates 3.2W at 240VAC.

is it the 2 18k resistors in parallel with the (mains powered) pump?Leave a comment:

Re: GORDAK 952 Rework soldering station problems
From other pictures of the Gordak 952 board, the two resistors are each 300R 3W, in parallel- to make a 150R 6W resistor. I can't find them on the posted schematics. I think they feed the connector with two green wires. Whatever that is, it needs to be fixed, it is drawing too much current.
ugh cryllic

GORDAK 952 Rework soldering station problems
I have a Gordak 952 soldering rework station that was emitting a burning smell when using it. At first it was quite small but over time it became worse. I decided to open and look and to my surprise 2 large resistors had been overheating and their covering had completely burned off. Because of this, I am unable to see their value. But today a friend of mine had almost the same model Gordak fail and I can see the color bands on his, but when trying to determine the value I am unable to. Can someone tell me the value? Seems these resistors heat up and burn the area of the board around them. The bands look to be black-black-brown-black or gray?Tags: None

by Peter_1402Hi Everyone,
I bought a Yihua 992DA+ hot air gun and soldering iron unit from a used market.
1. Soldering iron works great
2. There is a burnt mark on the hot air gun handle.
I am a bit concern by the look of the melted plastic. I opened the hot air gun handle and took some readings with a multimeter.
Heating element ~ 75ohm. (Similar reading taken from a spare heating element that came with the unit.)
Thermocouple ~ 1.5ohm. (Similar reading from the spare heating element.)
Reed switch tested ok with a magnet.
From the above test, I can conclude... -
by sam_sam_samI have been working on this concept for quite some time now with limited success but recently I found a switching power supply that is setup for the voltage that this soldering station needs to operate at however it also needs part of the secondary circuit from the original switching power because you need several voltage rails
I once tried to get a ZD-915 desoldering station to work on a 18 volt battery power supply but unfortunately things did not go well but I did find a work around but I might try this idea again but going at a little differently more about this another time... -
by chth96hello.
A few months ago,I have purchased 0.1mm Soldering Iron Tip of below aliexpress link,But I noticed that It is totally impossible to use this 0.1mm iron tip in the T12 soldering station
https://ko.aliexpress.com/item/4001275635593.html
Is there any good soldering station which is possible to use 900M-TJ-I tip and have inexpensive or reasonable price in aliexpress?
Any reply would be appreciated. -
by capriderHey,
I'm looking for some recommendations of a decent quality soldering station and a separate hot air station. I'm just a hobbyist, so even if (ultra)premium tools are not required, I still want some good tools. They should be available in Europe.
I now have a TS100 and some soldering irons and looking for some better tools.
1. Soldering station, budget around 200-240€
JBC BT-2BWA seems to be a good product in the budget.
2. Hot air station, budget around 200€
Up to now I've found ATTEN ST-862D to be a good option.... - Loading...
