HEATH 4552 OSCOPE WITH ONLY ONE CHANNEL WORKING, looking for the schematic

I have an old 25mhz Heath 4552 oscilloscope that I want to get running properly so I can sell it. Everything appears to be working except Channel A. When I select that input the trace never shows up. It seems as if the vertical position is slammed off the screen since there is a slight glow that can be seen if the room is dark.

I have several other 100mhz scopes and I plan on using one of them to isolate this problem. It would make this a great deal easier if I had the schematic. I noticed some time ago someone had a power supply issue with the same model oscilloscope and a member sent him that section of the schematic from a service manual. I was wondering if someone might have the rest of that manual.

I did see a couple of sites that would sell me a copy, and if I was fixing it for my lab I would go that route, but since I have a new 200mhz digital storage scope on the way, I don't want to spend any money on this one. Heck, if the price to fix this one is too much, I will sell it as-is for about $20.

    Found it:
    https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B8K...c0QnAwbHM/view

Relabelled Heath from the manufacturer Pintek (model PS-251)

    Operating manual:

Pintek specs can be found here:
    http://www.pintek.com.tw/

The most important find is this video (where I got most of the details I have listed) of the exact model being calibrated step by step. w2aew rules the oscilloscope world!

It's good you found the schematic. It is the same (rebadged) as other scopes such as B&K Precision 2120.

The input amp might be damaged, or the deflection amp shorted so the beam is way up high or down low.
You would have to check the DC balance starting at the LF13741 input op-amp and working your way to the CRT.

if your lucky the chips AND transistors will be in sockets - and you can just swap them between channels to test them.

old X58 triple channel board... memtest86 memory speed?
          by eccerr0r
Anyone run memory speed tests with an old X58-based triple channel 1st gen or any other >2 channel board? The one I have is a Gigabyte I think.

Anyway I had four 4GB DDR3-1333 modules in the 6 memory slots and got around 11GB/sec memory speeds assuming that it went dual channel since it didn't have enough modules for triple channel. Now I stuck in two more 4GB modules, but they are DDR3-1600. I'm still getting 11GB/sec speeds according to memtest86...

Just wondering, anyone do memory speed analysis on these triple (and higher) channel memory boards? Are there any...

Reverse engineering of 18650 4-channel tester
          by spleenharvester
          Hi friends

I have reverse engineered this tester, schematic is attached and is complete except for capacitor values. These testers annoyingly have no model number but they are the ones you find on the first page of just about any website if you type in "18650 4-channel tester". There is also a 2-channel variant and a newer 8-channel variant. They are very cheap (about £15) and can measure voltage, current, internal resistance and capacity. They have a multicolour display for all these statistics. They also have terminal blocks so that if you want to use a breakout board...

Allen & Heath Xone:92 mixer problem - faulty phono channel outputs on one side only
          by analogicalmind
          Hi all,

Wondering if anyone here can help – I have an Allen and Heath Xone:92 silver mixer with one faulty channel – channel 2 is only outputting on one side (right side) when set to a phono input. It works fine with a line input, and all the other channels work perfectly with phono and line inputs. I'm not sure when this happened as I rarely use the faulty channel – it could well have been like this for years! Any thoughts on what might be causing the fault and how it could be repaired? I can do some basic soldering, so I'm hoping I might be able to fix it myself.

Help on car amplifier only one channel works
          by mikey5791
          Hi all forum members,
Fyi, i have been working on this old model PCT-4082 (4 channel car amplifier). The owner said only one channel is working.
My initial finding is this amp originally use Toshiba 2SA1943 and 2SC5200 transistor for its output but after opening the top casing i found it used Toshiba A1941 (pnp)and C5198(npn). I desoldered all the 4 pairs transistors and found 1 piece A1941 open(tested "OL" on all legs) and replaced the 1st pair with 2SA1943 and 2SC5200, thats why you can see in the picture it is the bigger size transistor. The other A1941 and C5198 all...

American Audio VLP1500 Distorting on one channel
          by dicky96
Hi guys I have a VLP1500 amplifier here - one channels works fine and the other channel distorts even at low volume settings

Protection and Clip LED are off

There is something wrong with the BIAS voltages around T16 and T18 (in particular) on the bad channel

I tested all diodes and transistors in this area in circuit with diode mode - both channels seem identical. Same in resistance mode across all the resistors here.

The output DC voltages on pin1 and pin8 of the 5532D dual op amp at the input of each amplifier module are the same, and the audio...
