    Xbox One Power Issue

Hoping to get some troubleshooting ideas from you all. Unless someone has had this problem before and knows the solution.

    The issue:
I press the power button or eject button to turn on the unit. The xbox turns on and plays its start up chime then probably 1-2 seconds later the unit plays the chime again and turns off. It does this no matter how I turn the unit on.

All the videos and issues I've seen online deal with the unit turning on but then just shutting off but without any noise, etc. Mine seems to be actually shutting itself down properly but only a couple seconds after turning it on.

Any thoughts or troubleshoot ideas I could start doing to narrow down where the problem could be coming from?

Woops! I forgot I poster on here.

Yes, the fan actually starts up when I press the power button.

It also will turn on for a split second when I first plug the console in. The light on the power supply turns white for a couple seconds, the fan spins up, then the light turns orange again. It'll do this like 3 times before turning completely off. Then I press the power button, fan spins up and a second or two later the console chimes off.

Have you found a solution to this problem. I have one with the exact same issue. I have tested so many components on the board it's not even funny.

I have nearly the same issue but without any spinning of the fan. After the power on chime it has a white light for 5-6 seconds and then plays the off chime and turns off. In between hard drive spins and disc eject beeps.

I bought my son a used Xbox One original model: A12-220N1A Rev: 02 with original PSU & 2 controllers 7 years ago. I “modded” the unit placing a 4.5” 12V exhaust fan with a 9v wall wart adapter on top of the vent/fan of the unit. And plugged the Xbox PSU into a Tripplite LTR-600 voltage regulator. Also connected to the Tripplite are a 275w computer tower, an Xbox 360 PSU and a Westinghouse 52” LED TV. ...

Xbox One Controller (1708) battery powered issue
                by unlogic
I have a strange issue with a 1708 controller when powered by battery. Wired it works fine, but on battery the light only starts flashing when you press and hold the X button. Once you let go it turns off. I've tried the same batteries on different controllers, and also fresh batteries, to no avail.

Nothing seems off on the board on inspection. Any pointers as to where I might start looking or how to troubleshoot this?
I've traced the battery line to around Q7 and Q6, and everything seems in order up to that point.

I did a search already and haven't found...

MacBook Air A2337 (820-02016) USB-C Port Issue – Only Works in One Orientation (CC Line Problem?)
                by rounin
                Hi everyone,

I'm working on a MacBook Air 2020 (A2337, board 820-02016) and running into a strange USB-C issue. I've gone through quite a bit of testing and part replacement, but I'm stuck — hoping someone here can shed some light.

                🛠 Original Issue
                The machine initially wouldn't negotiate 20V over USB-C — stuck at 5V.
Diagnosis showed PP1V5_UPC0_LDO_CORE shorted to ground.

I replaced U3100 (UF400) using a donor board (A2179), and the machine powers on fine now.

Three 820-01700 32GB Logic Boards Same Issue: Won't Wake From Hibernate
                by ugamazing
I have three identical-spec 820-01700 boards (2.6/32/512), and ALL THREE boards came to us with the same fault, from different sources: The boards don't wake from hibernation with the keyboard or lid, they ONLY wake when you press the power button. I understand this is a very minor issue, but the boards must be fixed!

We will of course begin with the obvious (checking lid signals), but I couldn't help but notice these three boards were all 32GB variants. Has anyone noticed an issue relating to these 32GB boards in particular? I of course don't think it's a RAM issue, but it's bizarre...
