Re: Dell XPS 8920 IPKBL-VM BIOS
Hi all, I am working on this Dell XPS 8920 Desktop MB # IPKBL-VM ., no display at all. I programmed the Bin files listed in #8 & the behaviour of the desktop changed. It turns on/off 3~4 times like any normal Dell Desktop when we add a new CMOS battery. It goes through all it's self test modes but no display. Can someone do a cleanup of the Original Bin files I have posted (S. No 4GKNGK2 ), & am using an Intel i7-7700 CPU on this motherboard. I would really appreciate. Thanks in advanceLast edited by mferna14; 03-16-2023, 05:56 PM.Comment

Re: Dell XPS 8920 IPKBL-VM BIOS
@hardware1 thanks for the Bin files. The result is the same., No Display at all. CPU Fan spins for nearly 2-3 mins, turns off & then on again. Then again starts automatically & the same behaviour 2-3mins fan spin & then off again. Maybe a bit of errors there, pls. try again. ThanksComment

by zeniusHello, I have an old Dell G3 3579 (ST: 2WQ7LP2-8FC8) with a newer 8FC8 BIOS password. I have successfully attached to the flash chip (W25Q128JVSQ) on the motherboard with a CH341A programmer and made several modifications using Intel FIT (e.g., allow software SPI write) without bricking. I was also able to boot to a modified GRUB shell where I attempted to edit many BIOS security related options like BIOS Guard/Lock, Flash Signature Override, ME FW Image Re-Flash, etc.
Unfortunately, some of these modifications like to Intel BIOS Guard failed because it is fused into the PCH. Also,...-

by mikeybassHi, I hope some one has some advice for me. I searched the forums but didn't see anything relevant. I acquired two identical Dell 9010 Mid Tower computers from a business office upgrade (they were going to throw them out). Both of them have the same motherboard (00F82W). One of them works flawlessly. The other one had a corrupted BIOS. I tried flashing numerous main BIOS and EC files from the internet, but none of them worked. I decided to copy the main BIOS and EC from the working 9010 computer and successfully flashed the corrupted BIOS. This got the computer able to boot again and run norm...

I try plugging charger while pressing ctrl+esc, machine turns on, nothing and after 20 seconds it gives 3 amber 3 white blinks again.

by mrrubikHi folks,
I got a Dell Optiplex 7010 micro PC (Exact Model) with 8FC8 BIOS and locked out admin password. I attempted to remove the password by patching the BIOS via info from this thread: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...ssword-patcher
After flashing the patched the BIOS, the PC is unresponsive with a solid AMBER power LED (not documented in manual anywhere)
Steps I took:- Read BIOS with CH341a, verified hash twice

by bmxlovahHi,
My Dell Precision T7910 died after enabling onboard SAS controller and applying RAID settings. There were no hardware changes between working and not working state, only setup (via bios -> controller settings). After applying settings and reboot PC turns on, flash leds (normally) but there's no further action, it just stays on with no graphics and no keyboard led's on. There's no Dell logo, nothing. I've tried resetting bios by jumper, replacing cpu's, replacing ram, removed/replaced cmos battery, disconnecting all drives etc. I've also dumped .bins from mobo chips SLI1 (16...-
