    Bios for Gigabyte GA-MA74GM-S2 desktop motherboard

    Can anyone post a complete bios dump for a Gigabyte GA-MA74GM-S2 Rev 1.0 desktop motherboard please?
    I have a dead motherboard - with no obvious signs of damage which I would like to save from scrap
    Many thanks for any help

    In case anyone is having similar issues:

    I incorrectly thought that the manufacturer bios update page only contained updates to the bios i.e. not the full working bios image file.

    WRONG! - I learned from the fantasticly helpful posts of the experts on this great Badcaps resource that the bios files (at least the Gigabyte website) contain the COMPLETE BIOS.

    My story - bricked Gigabyte GA MA74GM-S2 Rev 1 mobo - fans spinning, warm NB but no other signs of life.😖
    After reading Badcap.net posts I downloaded a bios update file from the GB Support page. I changed the file extension on the 1MB file in the bios update package to a bin file i.e.
    ma74gms2.f1 -> ma74gms2f1.bin

    I then programmed the ma74gms2f1.bin bios file to a blank Bios chip - BINGO - board boots up and is working great.
    I used a CH341a bios programmer which has the 3V mod to prevent damage to bios IC.

    In my case I had to remove the bios IC from the mobo - the CH341a would not work with bios IC in place on mobo. Possibly due to the additional 3V circuitry on the mobo drawing too much from the CH341a programmers on board 3V reg when in circuit.

    Follow the advice from Badcaps and try the update bios files from the manufacturers website if you have a bricked mobo - Gigabyte ones certainly work - Happy Daze😂
