Gigabyte motherboard missing CPU compatibility due to BIOS version being too low - proper way from here?

This job which came in is a Gigabyte B650M D3HP AX (rev. 1.0). It has BIOS version F1 currently, and the CPU installed is Ryzen 9 9900X, which according to the Gigaybte site, needs at least BIOS version F30. I don't have a supported CPU to install for the purpose of updating the BIOS. I have downloaded the BIOS from Gigabyte's website and unzipped the file "B650MD3HPAX.F32a". Can I just rename it to 'B650MD3HPAX.BIN' and flash it to the motherboard using neoprogrammer and my CH341A?
