Re: PC Win 10 random freezes help

I briefly read the previous posts. My first reaction is that it is overheating. Try opening the device manager and delete everything in there and not reboot when prompted and then get as far as you can and reboot and let it find everything again. Start at the bottom and do not delete the usb or the kybd or mouse until last.... Otherwise does EVERYTING work on your computer? Nothing flaky like the net adapter or sound or wifi if built in?

@ivtec: MEI probably came back through Windows Update. I wouldn´t uninstall anything else from this list without a reason.

@captainKKK: what makes you think that overheating could be an issue here? Even if it was, a system freeze would be an unusal reaction.

Asus rog strix g1614jv-Is96 freezes at random times and blinking charging light
          by 1centchips
I have the i9 version. I have tried disabling intel and Nvidia graphics in the device manager.
The laptop is just out of warranty.
The laptop continues to freeze randomly with the blinking amber charging light.
What could be possibly wrong with it?
I have also disable armoury crate in bios.

Asus X541UVK Rev 2.0: random freezes, black screen, no boot
          by ignacio.ino27
Hi to all. I have a Asus laptop X541UVK Rev 2.0 that sometimes gives no video, sometimes will shutdown randomly, sometimes goes to black screen after being working fine at random times.

I say "sometimes" because it was working fine for 24hs, then it starts to do the same weird stuff.

I did thermal paste replaced (it was FULL of dirty inside the heatsink and cooler), RAM checked and it's OK, HDD replaced and the same.

Last time i run a stress test for 15min and the temp did not exceed 49 celsius. It is a Intel i3 7t generation. RAM tests gives...

ASUS ROG G513QY – RX 6800M powered but not detected intermittently + random crashes (Motherboard: 6050A3254002-MB-Axx)
          by EvazX
          Hello everyone,

I am working on an ASUS ROG G513QY laptop with RX 6800M dGPU.
Originally, this laptop was completely non-functional. I replaced the motherboard (part number 6050A3254002-MB-Axx), and with the replacement board it started working fine.

For a long time, the dGPU worked perfectly stable. I played several hundred hours on very demanding games such as Cyberpunk 2077 without any crashes, instability, or detection issues. Performance was excellent and there were no warning signs of failure.

However, after some time, the replacement motherboard...

Xiaomi router freezes at boot after re-capping
          by hinisa
I'm using Xiaomi Router 4A gigabit edition as wireless repeater. It worked fine for 2 years or so, but last week, wireless started to disappear.

When I unplug/replug the power, it was working fine for a day/half a day or so until it freezes again.

After testing with different power supply adapters and concluding it wasn't the issue I finally opened the case and this was the situation:

Anyway I proceed to clean up the mess and replace all caps but unfortunately it made the situation worse. Now router can't even boot, either it freezes during...
