Need help in identifying a component on a GPU

    Hello everyone,

I have searched the forum for a boardview that would help me identify a component on my Gigabyte rx580, but no luck so, here I am with a request for help.
The story is simple, I wanted to dust it off and my father was near the compressor and he offered to do it, but somehow knocked or blew off a component. Now I'm trying to find what that component is, so I can put it back in its place. I found the one that was there, but it has a chip on one of the corners, with some layers inside showing.
I looked around the board and found another one just like it, please check the photo.
If you can point me also to a tutorial or something that would help me identify stuff like this in the future I would be very grateful.

    Thank you!

      Thanks for the reply.
I did search for the component in some databases, but I found multiple thinks listed under the letter "K".
The table I looked at is at the following link: https://smd.yooneed.one/code4b00.html

I don't know how to measure a fuse, but I will look for a tutorial. Also, when you say to look up size and code, what other code can I look at?

      Thanks!

will be something like 0603 .. best wait and see what others say it is ,,but it is marked as f400 suggesting it is a fuse .

I also measured both now and the readings for both of the components are 1.2 on the "200" scale of my multimeter. Would you consider that the broken part is still usable?
          Thank you!

now put your meter leads together and then deduct the reading from 1.2

Re: Need help in identifying a component on a GPU

that would leave me with 0.2, which is about close to that 0.17 I saw in the specs for the model you mentioned.
would it be safe to use again the component which has a chipped corner? if not, I found new ones on aliexpress, but it will be a long wait until I get them.
              thanks again for the help!

it is shown 200mA 24V from the schematics, the size is 3216 or 1206 smd fuse.

I am also in the middle of repair attempt bunch of rx580s, hope that helps and goodluck with yours.

                        That fuse reads totally fine.

Hy guys , i have a DVR board DS-80104 REV 2.2 that was powered wrong, i have some smds on the board that are blown and i can't identify them , maybe if someone has this board somehow and we can identify the smds', i have searched online and i can't find a schematic.
The smds are SOT-23-6 , one of them i think it has the marking ADJF since i found another one on the board with this marking , but the other one it seems that it starts with AG or it looks like. I would really apreciate if someone could help me identify those IC's .

Lenovo Legion 7 - Help Identify IC
                          by silver60618
Hi gang, its a long shot, but working on Lenovo Legion Pro 7 motherboard NM-F091, and trying to identify this component near GPU with marking "eHFQH" that is burned and shorting the board. Looks like power management IC

I couldnt find any schematic or boardview. The CPU side also has same chip. Any way to identify this chip? or take measurements from the good chip to determine what it is?

                          Any help would be appreciated...

How can I identify varistor which have been blew up?
                          by chth96
I mistakely pluged 100v japanese retro game console to 220v outlet.
So It seems that glass fuse and varistor have been blew up.
I can identify that voltage and ampere value of glass fuse(250V LF 1.6A),but It is impossible to identify varistor type in my sega saturn PSU(YAMAHA 35M07U XR258)
Is there any way to identify varistor type in my sega saturn PSU?
                          Any reply would be appreciated.

                          EDIT:
It seems that I finally found out what type this black varistor is. It is Panasonic ERZV05D221 “ZNR” Transient/Surge Absorbers (Type D) Varistor Voltage...

RX580 GPU have all the right voltages but won't turn on
                          by debidoobs
                          Hi Guys,

I just replaced 2 blown fuses on the 12V rail of a RX580 sapphire 8go even though i didn't find any sign of shorts on the 5V, 3.3V or 12V with my multimeter. I don't know the history of the card..

i followed step by step the video from TECH Cemetery (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=supu7YeNTfw) but when on his RX580 sapphire 8go he doesn't have VCORE mine does but won't turn on .. I watched many video but i don't find same situation i m facing. So im clearly lost because all measurements steps i did on the GPU are fine. I have a B550m, a 550W psu, 16go...
