Hello,
just an update. I found a broken track just under the RAM IC M5M5118p. I was probing pins when at pin 18 CHIP select input S2/, i could hear my injected sine wave but no effect, this pin 18 is supposed to be connected to the front side of the pcb with a metalized vias, this one is located under the M5M51118p and it was broken !.... I made the connection back but it's far from being fixed now. Right part of the front panel is responding now, from "RATE, TIME,... to MIX, INV", leds turn on when switch button is pushed. Rate is also reacting by using increment or decrement...

hello,
so after better understanding of the pinouts, i do have vcc 5V going to the CPU. "Enable" is supposed to be a system clock and in my case (screen attached), it looks like a sine wave with a +3v offset.
With my one channel cheap scope, i can't trigger standby and reset signal to see if i have at least 20ns low state before standby goes up... I can trigger them one by one but do not see any difference they rise exactly the same way/time on my scope.
Reset ic PST518 provides 5V output.
Also, my cr2032 battery looks like it's drawing current...

Hello R_J,
The IC im talking about is ic158 but i do have VCC finally..AM2504PC, 12 bits register... so don't mind
One thing is in the manual, they say to set 512khz at pin 3 of IC173 with B10K pot 104, but i only get 215khz at best, it will then decrease if i keep turning left or right the pot. Don't know if it helps.
The diode was broken in half due to corrosion. I did replace the CR2032 socket and put a new battery in it. With it or without, there is no difference when starting up the unit.
The processor has VCC, approx 2V, in the datasheet...

So i made some measurement, "reset has to be low for 20ms at start up"... the only thing i see at reset pin at start up is a dc signal that goes up to 5v and stays like this, so i guess at start up its stay low enough ? No oscillation between xtal and extal at all.. At the flipflop 74HC74 supposed to send the reset signal, the clock input is a bit weird, i attached the picture.
I also tried to set up the clock adjustement from the manual at pin 3 of the IC173 74HC163, but i only can go to 213khz max then it will go down if i keep turning clockwise with a screwdriver,...

Hi, do you mean ic311 instead of 312? which is the cpu ? Its a Hd6303 similar to DDL3 unit.. im going to look where the reset pin is. What i can say is there is no frequency out of the ceramic 4MHZ crystal. There is also no vcc on a chip placed on a socket on the middle right of the board : a AM2405PC... but might not be the cause of the problem. update : found some infos about the reset state.https://Hi, do you mean ic311 instea..... im going to...

Hello ! just an update, so yes i had to jump solder the pcie riser to allow the PERST high state. So yes i fixed the card.... kind of cauz it boots normally with a lab psu and also inside the pc. Unfortunatly, the graphic card won't show any signal in the monitor even though fans are spinning et pc starts normally as test leds on the mobo process correctly. VGA led does not stay lit. So bad, im wondering if the bios is still in good condition after the few restart i made with the card alone during the troubleshooting. Monitor and hdmi are the same i used before when the rx580 was working.. i don't...

Yamaha delay D1500, zener diode broken with no marking
Hello,
im actually trying to save a d1500 delay from yamaha. I found the service manual but schematic is missing and BOM list is a bit unclear as components listed have no reference linked to the pcbs... In my case, one zener diode was broken (114 code on the pcb in attached file) and couldn't be repaired : it was a zener type package. In the BOM list i found 3 reference on this board : 1S555 (can be replaced by 1N4148), RD4.7EB2 (approx 5v rectifier), RD7.5EB3 (approx 7v rectifier)...
Actually the cathode goes to VCC of sram M5M5118P, without this diode missing, i have...

Hello, thank you for your help. After looking around with my multimeter, Perst signal is going from PCIE pin to the U4513 logic... Now it makes sens, the fact im using a riser make some voltages as the Perst signal not present when it would be present if i was using a true motherboard ?
In this case, i dont understand why in the first place i couldn t get the board botting up when connected to my pc motherboard... Unless U1000 or U4513 was faulty since the beginning.
Just tested u4513, he s fine. Now i really dont understand why by forcing high state from u1000 to the...

Hello,
unfortunatly i didn't findthe right schematic for a Sapphire pulse RX580 8gb, the only schematic i found is called "rx580V341" and it shows as the screenshot attached. On my board there is no U100 and also the PERST signal is coming from te PCIE from the motherboard ? That could explain many things but it does not explain why my gpu stopped working since i put the 1K resistor it booted up very find for few months... unless doing that damaged the NCP81022, but having my Vcore 900mv right is strange if the NCP was bad it should not i guess....

Regarding to the schematic, the logic and gate is as attached. In my case, 3.3v is at pin1 but nothing at pin 2 even though it happens i do have 3.3v at pin2 randomly.
May be you have the schematic where your informations come from to compare ?
About touching the gpu is only by touching slighty the metal case of the gpu chip not the center core. I do not push at all so it doesnt look like a reballing issue.
Regards...

Hello,
im french young electronic tech, previously welder/construction diver. I was lucky enough to work in Australia and NZ few years but had an accident at work and had to go back to my country and find a new carreer path. During the healing process, repairing everything that is broken became an addiction and i love learning about electronics since. It's a really long road with lot of frustrations sometimes but it s the way i picked for the rest of my life and at least my back is safe now.. cheers !

RX580 all voltages good but won't boot and fan won't spin
Hi,
Im actually trying to find what is going wrong with my sapphire Pulse RX580 8gb... I purchased it used and supposely dead a year ago and found out (thanks internet) that U1000 (And gate sot23-5) was not giving me the high state to the power management IC NCP8122...
At this time, with no spare parts, i decided to put a 1kohm resistor to create the voltage as commented by a guy named Lorkur on this forum (https://*******/viewtopic.php?f=48&t=122873), you ll need to translate it in english.
and voila ! the gpu worked again and i didn't care...

RX580 GPU have all the right voltages but won't turn on
Hi Guys,
I just replaced 2 blown fuses on the 12V rail of a RX580 sapphire 8go even though i didn't find any sign of shorts on the 5V, 3.3V or 12V with my multimeter. I don't know the history of the card..
i followed step by step the video from TECH Cemetery (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=supu7YeNTfw) but when on his RX580 sapphire 8go he doesn't have VCORE mine does but won't turn on.. I watched many video but i don't find same situation i m facing. So im clearly lost because all measurements steps i did on the GPU are fine. I have a B550m, a 550W...

RX580 Pulse 8gb Gpu fixing and power rails
Hello guys,
im actually trying to wake up a non powering up gpu, model RX580 Pulse 8gb. I have a multimeter and 3 lab PSU. I mention 3 lab psu because i don't have mobo so here is the situation. I followed step by step the video from here (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=supu7YeNTfw), he does another one about the 1.8V regulator possibly guilty, In both scenario, as me, No vcore voltage but no short anywhere. But in his case he s plugging the gpu to his mobo and the 8pin connector as well when for me, for the moment as i don't own mobo, i just inject voltage from the 12V...Last edited by debidoobs; 11-11-2022, 10:57 AM.
