How to erase Locked SSD (Hardware level) ?

    Greetings!
I have in my hands, a Crucial 2.5 SSD 240GB BX200 i got it from a shop as "faulty".
    But it's not faulty.

You make it as primary disk in the laptop , and it asks you a Hard drive password. (Which i don't have and the shop doesn't know anything about it because it was used, and has zero records on it).

You connect it as an external device in a dock station and it shows up in the "Device Manager" ,but nowhere else, not even in HD Tune, Disk Managerment tool ,AOMEI Partition manager, not even in Hirens Disk.

So i believe,it's due to being locked. How can i wipe it out and use it ?When you cannot show it anywhere except the Device amanger?

Sounds like ATA secure erase was interrupted.

Can be done if you follow the requirements for the drive, interface etc.

Panasonic Toughbook HDDs with hard drive encryption - how to reuse them?
                  by jasakl
                  Dear community,

i have searched the internet but i dont found a working solution for my problem:
I have about 150 hard drives (mostely from hitachi 160gb HTS543216L9SA00) from Pansasonic CF-19 MK3 Notebooks.
All devices had a BIOS Password and HDD encryption enabled.

Now i try to reuse the HDDs, but i cant format them. I already tried windows Diskpart with argument "attributes disk clear readonly" but it says "cant delete" and i tryed several partition and low level formatters (like partition wizard, AOMEI and Easus).
                  But all of...

Lenovo P14s Gen 5 SVP unlock
                  by Syseng
This sums up discussion related to Lenovo P14s Gen5 in this thread. Credits go to Sbaro and especially Maxpower3. The locked dump is attached.

The device is based on NM-F871 motherboard with Nuvoton NPCK397 series controller. The motherboard also contains three BIOS chips: two different Winbond chips for main BIOS and external EC flash, and also a Gigadevice chip which purpose I do not know. The password information is contained directly in controller and thus can be manipulated by reprogramming it, so reprogramming BIOS chips is technically not required, however you may wish to make...

                  PS5 Disk Tray issues.
                  by welp
I have a PlayStation 5 CH-1215A with a Disk drive not reading disks anymore. (accepting and ejecting very slowly.)
Knowing the PS5 has a married daughter board for the disk drive I made sure to use that and replace the rest of the disk tray as it* was owned previously by an indoor smoker.
Once the job was complete and put back everything together, I tried to insert a disk with no luck at all...
So, I checked voltage going from the ps5 to the daughter board and am only getting the 5V rail.
With that knowledge I preceded to check all the fuses for the 12v rail on the main...

ASUS ROG STRIX B550-I GAMING - M.2_2 port not working correctly with SAMSUNG SSD980 1TB NVME SSD
                  by DynaxSC
                  Hi,

I have an really very weired issue with ASUS ROG STRIX B550-I GAMING.

Some NVME (PCIe) SSD's are not working correctly in the second M.2 socket. An example of it is the SAMSUNG SSD980 1TB NVME SSD.
Some other NVME (I have only smaller ones) disk do work without any problem, also SAMSUNG disks, eg an MZVPV128HDGM-0000.

The behaviour is also really very strange, i.e.:
                  • The disk shows always up in BIOS - so it is recognized, so far so good
                  • POST-ing with this disk with fresh Windows 24H2 installation (done in the M.2_1 socket) in the M.2_2 socket
                  ...

                  Windows 11 disk no boot
                  by Stanley1843
I tried to install Linux on a secondary disk in my PC and after a failed Linux grub installation my PC didn't boot in Windows 11. I saw the message (Reboot and select a proper Boot device).

I made a bootable USB windows 11 and I run the below commands on the cmd but with no succeed.

                  DISM /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth
The DISM.... command shows me the error 87.

                  sfc /scannow
                  chkdsk

                  bootrec /FixBoot
                  bootrec /ScanOs
                  bootrec /RebuildBcd
For some reason it writes(Total identified installations 0) like there no...
