    I can get these from this site;
    Rubycon - 1000uF 6.3v MBZ 8mm 12mm
But I'm not sure about the others.

I read the recapping your own motherbaord page and noticed the mention of voltages and how those can and cannot be substituted, but do the dimentions of a capacitor make a difference? or can I substitute a larger size?

you can fudge diameters... be aware if the lead spacing is different, you will have to elevate the cap and bend the leads... it will be a bit ugly but is perfectly safe... bare metal is fine as long as nothing shorts it. if bare metal freaks you out (as it does for some), just strip some wire to the lengths you need and use the stripped insulation.

I do it all the time (change diameters). I often have to do it for Fuhjyyu PSU caps as no other brand makes the same capacitance/voltage in the same size. It works just fine.
I love putting bad caps and flat batteries in fire and watching them explode!!

No wonder it doesn't work! You installed the jumper wires backwards

          They are right.
As long as the specs are good and it will physically fit the diameter doesn't matter.

There is a slight concern when they are crammed in too tight somewhere [packed in with other caps or with loads of wires] about no air flow and over heating them.
Like I said it's a small issue, but if they are packed tight I much prefer waiting until I find/get the right caps to using bigger caps just to done with it.

I see that the middle RAM slot is being used.

At least with my A7N8X-X, I cannot, or it will be unstable! I think that caused a bug check, because it rebooted before Windows completed the boot.

When I had RAM in the middle slot, it was no more stable than Charles Manson.

I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

Hi, this is my personal laptop, which the original board (lets call it Board A) blew up PU8700 (TPS51486), making a hole on the board, i had left the laptop at my desk one day with the battery fully charged and didn't touch it for a week, but when i tried to turn it on it didn't
Thought the battery was dead, so i plugged in the charger then tried to power on, the power LED blinked once, charged LED still orange, unplugged the charger, plugged in again and I noticed the "magic smoke" smell, so i unplugged the charger, removed the back cover and saw the blown IC (the "magic...

                by Hakuu
                Hi There,

This TV was auto switching off after few seconds with some vertical lines on the screen, so got a new TCON board and replaced it.

After replacing the TCON board it was working fine and i set it up with everything, used for few hours, then had the bright idea to update the software on it. During the update process, TV switched off and now no audio or video. No relay switch sound.

HP RP7 RP7800 from 2012/2013 worst fault - has "character"
                by Rayblaster
Hello friends, I've got a nice toy to play with - it is an HP RP7800 All-in-one POS system. I got it for free and it has one problem - it turns on very rarely, and just for a few seconds. After that it dies and doesn't come on if I don't leave it unplugged for at least 2 hours. I've repaired motherboards before, this is not my first one, but problem with these types of faults is that everything you check on the board will usually be fine. This is the case for me here.

I dissassembled it completely, and got my hands on the motherboard. Model No. is PIQ67H/Higgins 11047-I 48.3GD02.011....

Panasonic TC-P54VT25 No image. A or D board?
                by canadaboy25
I have a Panasonic TC-P54VT25 that will power on and prime the display but there is no image at all.

The panel is primed as there is a slight glow from the entire panel. This means the problem should be logic related. The service manual also confirms this and recommends replacing the A or the D board.

I have tried to get the TV to display the test sequence but I have been unable to and I don't even know if this TV has a test sequence or not. I tried following tom66's instructions in post #3 on this thread https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=26790. There was...
