    GA-EP45-DS4P lost cause ?

Bought this cheap, described as "faulty. Does not post"

Doesn't even power on actually, not surprising with physical damage pictured

Board has everything, including "Quick Switches" so owner can easily Power on, Clear CMOS or Reset by pressing the appropriate button

It's the Reset switch which seems to have been forcibly ripped from the board

I've tried bridging the two big broken tracks pictured, to no avail

I think this one's destined to join my junk board collection

I think joining the big ones wasn't enough, seeing that a quite deep scratch is located just next to the broken tracks.

And there is a thin trace between the two wide ones, I would also check the thin traces between the thicker trace and the edge of the board

Unless your very good at soldering or can find where easy broken trace links to and bridge it with wires, this is going to be very hard to do.

It looks like something shorted and the traces melted open (like a fuse). There is some discoloration around the break.

There's also damage underneath the same area

            Thanks for your responses

Unfortunately concurs with my thinking - win some, lose some, and this one's a loss

Pity, rest of board's in impeccable condition

Could have looked in worse condition - just got a MSI 845E MAX without NB sink, bulged KZGs (6.3v 2200uF,5 of em') and ripped VRM heatsinks - in fact, the only sign that there were VRM sinks was the thin legs the heatsinks had.

i see some oscon sepc polys on the board. those can be salvaged for recapping other mobos. did u get a boardful of oscon sepc polys or are there some chemicon psc polys in there as well? lucky u if u got a boardful of either. i got an ep35-ds3 with a boardful of fujitsu fpcaps except for a handful of sepc polys for usb filtering and needless to say the board didnt last long to my overclocking attempts...

Lost bios password on HP Spectre Pro 13 G1 (X2F00EA)
                  by jerem57m
                  Hello,
I hope I'm in the right place to make my request. Now that I've made my presentation, I'd like to make a request regarding a 2017 HP Spectre PRO 13 G1 laptop. I have a lost BIOS password. I really don't remember setting a password on this computer, and after changing the battery, the computer no longer wants to boot without it. Can you help me remove the password?
I read on the forum that someone who had a model similar to mine managed to remove the password, so I figured with any luck I'd find some help here.

                  Product: X2F00EA
                  Trade name:...

                  HP Probook 650 G4 - Lost power?During AMT de-provision process, now I get blackscreen
                  by rive.hafintosh
First here is how things went down.

I entered the bios and began to de-provision Intel AMT - it began with a reboot and then prompted me to de-provision AMT - proceed Y/N -
I pressed Y and hit enter, and I thought the PC shutdown, but perhaps it actually lost power at this point. I had the power adapter plugged in but apparently the plug from the wall came out of the brick when I wasn't noticing so 1 of two things could have happened…
Something went wrong with the process, or it lost power during the process and corrupted something
I tried making a HP recovery...

Did all laptop works when they lost one of power phases for cpu?
                  by ktmmotocross
                  Hello.
Have this acer nitro that have short on 1of4 for powerstage for cpu. i remove shorted drmos and power for cpu and laptop start but have no video or BL on lcd. all voltages are now ok. as i see there is some amateur injection marks so i think someone toasted cpu with highvoltage.

quistion is - should all/most of laptop works in basic when lost one of power phases for cpu/gpu ? i know that many does, but did all?...

hi folks, The BIOS chip of this board literally went missing during its maintenance. It might have happened that the socket where the chip is connected accidentally opened. As a result, it was lost and is no longer present. I have no idea if it’s 8MB or 4MB. If someone could lend me a hand, I’d be grateful.
