    eBay impulse buy for a S754 processor

    Although BrandX, it looks well constructed, all Rubycon caps

    Wronggg !!!

    Their sleeves may be purple and gold, but the caps are actually branded Kingcon

    And a "New" board came with a dead CMOS battery

      The board probably is new. It's just that the battery is past its shelf life. If it works otherwise, then recap it and replace the battery and you should be good to go.
      I love putting bad caps and flat batteries in fire and watching them explode!!

      No wonder it doesn't work! You installed the jumper wires backwards

          Hi as you can see from title, I have a samsung tv here that will show the smart tv logo and then no picture after that even hitting input or menu on remote and shows nothing but the backlight still appears to be on. The tv will turn itself off after a minute or so automatically. I'm somewhat confused if this is either a eeprom problem or a bad led strip problem. The power supply makes a pretty noticeable humming sound when it's turned on leading me to believe one of the leds are shorted but idk honestly. Any of you guys have any help for me? I have a good multi meter and can take pictures of whatever...

          I have used the search, and am stumped.

          My Vizio M65-C1, Vizio logo appears for about 10 seconds then goes off.Power LED blinks 15 times then the TV powers down.

          I have read through many threads on the M65-C1 including the following threads. I feel like I must be looking right past the solution to my problem:

          Could this be fixed by cutting some kind of tracks on PCB that drives the LCD panel?
          vgh even vgh odd signal from Shift Register
          and directly connected to panel?

          this problem only happen with HDMI input, not with VGA
          the picture is so good with VGA input

          My air purifier does this weird flickering/resetting, at first you might rightfully assume it's a power supply issue, however as you can see in this video I've uploaded a demonstration of the problem where I'm injecting 5v to the board directly, also double-checking while powered from mains, the 5v supply looks solid and since there aren't many components, I've checked nearly all of them for shorts but nothing appears to be wrong with the support circuitry at least as far as I can tell, so my best guess at this point is the MCU firmware is corrupt, or it's partially dead, and it crashes as soon...
