Was given this GA-K8NF-9 because of the swollen capacitors - three of four 3300uf HM in the VRM, and both 1000uf HM beside the white IDE connector

by Oldschool297I found these, i would only like to try them on a board to see if it post. It don't post at the moment, i guess there are 9 6.3v 3300uf that can be broken. Is these low or high esr? I did not find info on the web.

by JunkrepairI'm finally recapping my Soyo K7VX6 motherboard (aka KT600 Dragon Ultra) and replacing Sacon SZ-series caps. The Sacon SZ datasheet provides a spec for tan delta, but not for ESR, while the candidate replacement caps are specified in terms of ESR.
I found this nice little description of the conversion:
Calculating capacitor ESR from Tan(delta)

It mentions that a general spec for tan delta has to be adjusted for the specific capacitance before plugging tan delta into the formula...-

by pavithra_ukI found used PSU AcBel PC6001 ~250W from IBM thinkcenter Core2Duo system. Almost every output rail caps were bulged except 12V rail single cap. caps were Ltec
12V - 1200uF 16V
5V - 1000uF 10V before coil 1000uF 10V after coil
3.3V - 1000uF 10V before coil 1000uF 10V after coil
5Vsb - 1000uF 10V before coil, 470uF 16V after coil
Since I have no access to buying new branded caps, I'm going to replace caps with used caps I pulled from dead PSUs and Motherboards.
I need cap experts ideas about it.
This PSU will...-

by sam_sam_samHere is the page of capacitors that I can choose from what is a good choice for a FSP 400-60GLC
https://www.digikey.com/en/products/...Xmc1YPJ6BlESoA
I try to use a 565-1664-ND which is a 10mm in diameter unfortunately it will not fit because there are two of them the same size and value and there is no room and they go to two different circuits not in parallel...-

by frannyjunkHi, my Vizio M60-C3 does not power on. No lights whatsoever. Upon opening up the TV, the power supply board has 4 bulging capacitors. Each is 1000uF 16V. I have read that one can use capacitors of the same uF and higher voltage rating, but is 1000uF 35V capacitor too high of a voltage rating? My local shop only has these higher voltage capacitors so would rather just buy the 35V variety if it is OK to use them.
Any thoughts if OK to use these higher voltage capacitors? - Loading...
