Compatible with my monitor. Connector locations are different https://60.img.avito.st/image/1/1.r0...ePXQmQIR8-yrVU

I think the locations of the external connectors are not the problem. New openings in the shell can be made and the old opening can be closed with 3d printed caps.

But from what I saw on eBay listings the lvds connector to the panel seem to have different pin amounts and different connectors.
Even if the pin amount is correct I'm not sure how well the connector can by adapted.

Often the other board are layout for eDP and LVDS 41 pin and 51 pin, but not all connectors are soldered onto the board. And often the boards have FFC or FPC connectors. I'm not sure what connector is on our boards, maybe the JAE FI-E.

Hello everyone, there was low resistance on the memory power supply pin on the processor, I ordered the processor from Alibaba and the PWM controller, I replaced it, everything works

I'm afraid my problem is also the cpu. Do you have any resistance measurements with the new cpu?

            markismus this should work: https://a.aliexpress.com/_EuyUHWv

Hello everyone, I'm sorry, I bought the processor on Taobao, I made the order to Germany through Ukraine, on the non-working processor there was a resistance of 39 ohms, on the removed processor the same 39 ohms were on the 106-107 leg, on the installed new processor and kilo-ohm PWM controller, https://ua-tao.com/ua/item/749397100...RfcHJpY2UiOjB9 https://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm...cket=15#detail

So, if I understand correctly. The low resistance on the memory power supply was not the issue? The low resistance measures the same on the new CPU? But replacing the CPU revived the screen? I'm currently waiting on my replacement MST9U35Q1 from aliexpress.

Hello, sorry, I’m writing through a translator, the burned-out processor had 39 ohms when it was installed and 39 ohms when I dismantled it, on the new processor kilo-ohms

I see markismus' photos for ic labels but cant find the datasheets in his post. Anyway if anyone has the part number or a link to the part i need for IC402 IACGK that would be great!

Its finally here. At first glance, it looks fake (comparing the logo), but anyway. Wasn't aware this chip would have a bottom ground plane, so that's going to be a p.i.t.a. i'm not overly confident. I've done bga cpu's, but qfp chips don't tend to just flow in place under hot air... we'll see.

How much was this ? I'm just curious if it's a viable option to fixing one of these (IF it works, that is). If it ends up costing half the price of a replacement board, factoring in the effort required to replace it, I'd say it's not worth it, especially since this is the second board that dies on me (or HIM, since it's my friend's )...

I have a link up in post 85 for the ali platform. They go for around $20-35. Voveo also posted a taobao link.

I'm curious as to what soldering technique voveo used.

Unfortunately i can not find a replacement board for the life of me, so this is a last resort. If this doesn't work i'm binning the monitor.

I was having the same problem with a LG27GL650F that use the same board, I replaced the IC401 ( with the R414 fly off in the same time, it was fun to put it back ), and so 5$ on aliexpress and its working again, thanks

changed the board. bought for $20 with delivery. another board LM20Y EAX69488801 (1.4)
It fits like a original. The board's operating time is 1300 hours. But I've already updated the monitor to an Acer Nitro XV272UVbmiiprzx
.unfortunately lg was not close to him in terms of picture quality.I also removed the matte film from the screen

Just replaced the CPU on my friend's board about a week ago - we both decided to take the plunge and try it out. He took his part of the gamble by buying the CPU itself, since it wasn't exactly cheap and I took my part by taking a shot at replacing it. I HAVE replaced this sort of IC before and was confident to try it again, especially after I pulled off the dead one and all the pads remained intact. It was NOT easy, but it worked out in the end. I also replaced the buck regulator IC with the 2A version to hopefully make it more robust...we'll just have to see how long it lasts...

Hi, I disassemble my laptop to replace the speakers, to access them, you have to remove everything including the heat sink and fan, unscrew the motherboard, lift it up a bit to access the speaker wire.
that was not the first time I dissasemble it, i did replace the same speaker a few year ago and I repaste it last year, so I had nothing to worry about. but when I put everything back together, its completely dead.

After a bit of investigating, i found one pin of the status led ribbon cable that was unglued from the cable and bend touching another pin, I bend it back at his place...

                                            Hello Gurus,

I got a ThinkPad T480s. It was running fine but suddenly started random shut down. When it turned off, I had to push the reset pin to bring it back to life. But it got aggressively worse and became completely dead. No charging light, no life.

I did some initial diagnostics with just the board (no battery, nothing attached, and no CMOS battery as well)

Initial testing of the coil resistance seems to indicate no dead short. The only low resistance I measured was at PL701. It reads 38 ohms.
                                            charger gave - 20V - ok

Trying to troubleshoot MSI z490 tomahawk board and would appreciate your help. The board is completely dead and shows no activity when the power button is pressed.

I have tried to look at the Superio, the PSIN signal seems to be correct (goes from 3.3V to 0 on button press) but the voltage on PSOUT pin is quite low. I

t is only 0.8V which seems to be incorrect but goes to 0 when the button is pressed.

Can you please let me know if this is indeed incorrect and what else should I look at next?

                                            Thanks!

                                            Hello.
I received a T14s Gen1 ( NM-C891 motherboard ) that is completely dead, no indication of life at all.
I tried hard reset without RTC battery and short both pins of it for 1 minute but no luck.
Since it's type C connector i have no idea what to measure or where to inject voltage, so any advice are welcomed
                                            Thank you in advance!

18VDC PSU completely dead - ZD-915 desoldering station

                                            Hi everyone!

Three years ago I got a ZD-915 desoldering station which failed just after a few months of light use. During a short desoldering session, the station simply shut down, and since then it has been completely dead and unresponsive. The failure was silent, without any pops.

Due to a lack of time, I set it aside and didn't look at it.

Yesterday, I took it apart and did some basic measurements. The 18v terminal shows 0v. In addition, there is no visible damage to the board itself.

According to replies in 18VDC PSU has dropped to...
