PandorPandor How did you know how to wire it up? Couldn't find anything in the 29gl850 service manual. A logic analyzer is new to me. Nice! But at least I would understand how you got the pinout.

PandorPandor Well, the IC600 is a buck converter and LED driver, so if that one is broken, we would also be seeing no response. But it...

Did you try to erase, program and verify it with one of the uploaded bin-files? You can do that without desoldering,right?...

I used a CH341A Mini Pro programmer and read the EEPROM IC201 (24C32A, 4KB) and the SPI Flash IC202 (GD25Q80C, 8MB). The data didn't appear totally random. (See attached IC201READ4KB_24C32 and IC202READ1MB_GD25Q80.rar.)
Comparison of the result...

Testing MP2315 a.k.a. IC402.
I have 18V on pin 2 (IN).
I used a USB buck converter (See image) set to 2.0V and connected the negative to GRD (The metal of one of the connectors, JK102) and the postive to pin 6...

With the microscope I am also able to read the IC101:
So if the HDMI would crap out on a later date, I'll have to get new skills to replace that IC....

So the next thing on the flowchart is the flash memory. I have the ICs:
As the numbering is different from ours, I used the datasheets. However, I am interested now wat the analogue to ic705 would be.

These were the values that I measured at my defunct board.
(IC402 = AGC = MP2315, IC400 = AQT = MP2315S: 1 = AAM, 2 = IN, 3 = SW, 4 = GRD, 5 = BST, 6 = EN/SYNC, 7 = VCC, 8 = FB)
(IC401 = AKX = MP9148: 1 = FB2, 2 = EN2, 3 = SW2, 4 = EN1, 5 = GND, 6 = SW1, 7 = IN, 8 =FB1 )
So my IC400 also has 3.3V on output.
My 401 has 0.08V and 1.2V on resp. SW1 and SW2. Since EN1 = 1.7V and EN2 = 0.3V, I would expect them to...

Doesn't mean it's dead. Could also mean that it doesn't receive a trigger voltage on the relevant pins.
I've posted all datasheets a few posts back. On it are the input range voltages and the output response to the control pins....

I've blown c451 of the board while I replaced IC402 (|AGCK). Can't find it anywhere.
Would anyone be able to tell me the capacitance? Thanks!...Last edited by markismus; 12-19-2023, 08:52 AM.

Re: LG 27GL63T-B completely dead
I've added 2 Hi-res photo's. (How do you take a photograph from a PCB without the glare?)
The |AKX buck regulator generates 2.0V falling down to 0.89V and continuing on the L409 coil. It's too hot to touch.
The |AGC step down converter generates 0V on the L410 coil.
The |AQT step down converter generates 3.33V on the L405 coil.
I've added the datasheet of these three. It seems that only the |AQT is working as expected. I've ordered the other two from AliExpress. Nor the...
