    Brightness Control on CRT Monitor

    Brightness Control on CRT Monitor
I received a 15” digital Acer CRT monitor for repair. It's model # 7234e to be specific. Everything else is functional except brightness control i.e. contrast, v-size, h-size, pincushion are all fully functional.
For all of you who have repaired any CRT monitors before, can you please give me an idea where I can find brightness control circuit? The monitor has big IC marked “MYSON MTV112N-OTP”, I believe this is the controller. Unfortunately I could not get a datasheet for it, so if anyone out there has access to the datasheet they may give me. Alternatively one could get me the service manual for the monitor if it's not hard to find. Thanks in advance.

    Could be the potentiometer itself.

      not adjusting?
iirc that one does not have osd so a failure outside the micro could stop it from adjusting but without osd for feedback.for instance low supply voltage to video amps.too bright and cant turn it down.control section is ok.btw i have seen a few of those with shorted crt's.a few way out of focus and a few g1-k
