Re: dell e176fpf ena pin
The pictures of your Bottom side of the board you have DO NOT match the picture of the top side of the board you have shown in post #1, they are not the same board!
You need to show us YOUR board not the picture of someone else board.
There will two control lines (BL-ON, Dim) that go to the Inverter section from the logic section.Last edited by budm; 04-06-2018, 09:53 AM.Never stop learning

Re: dell e176fpf ena pin
Man! the pictures are not in focus at all, I cannot read anything on the board.
BTW, are you sure this is Dell e176fpf, NOT E173FPF?
I only see this board used in the E173FPF.
The P/N as printed on the bottom side of the board is 490271200101 or 490271200100 , the number as printed on the top side of the board is 790271200800?
Can we see the sticker on the back on the back of the monitor that shows model number and the revision number?
BTW, what is the P/N as printed on top of the IC U1 in the inverter section?
Please look at the attached pictures to see if it matches YOUR board or not.

So your board matched the pictures I post in my post #6. If they are then I believe I can see the two control lines that go to the Inverter section.Never stop learning

Re: dell e176fpf ena pin
OK, that IC U1 OZ9RRAG is the inverter control IC, pin 1 is the ENA pin so all you have to do is to trace out where pin 1 goes to which will be your control pin.
You can check pin 1 of the IC when monitor is OFF and when Monitor is ON.
There is also spec sheet for the IC and it also has application circuit on how to use the IC. The ENA pin is active LO, as you can see, 0~1V = ENA, 3~5 = Disable, that is why in the circuit it has Q2 as an inverter for the control signal so it is set to Active HI.
It helps a lot to be able to get the P/N and the spec of the IC.Attached FilesNever stop learning

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?by Tynan DillI was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.
Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.
I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.
The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.
With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

by m1ch43lzmHi, this is my personal laptop, which the original board (lets call it Board A) blew up PU8700 (TPS51486), making a hole on the board, i had left the laptop at my desk one day with the battery fully charged and didn't touch it for a week, but when i tried to turn it on it didn't
Thought the battery was dead, so i plugged in the charger then tried to power on, the power LED blinked once, charged LED still orange, unplugged the charger, plugged in again and I noticed the "magic smoke" smell, so i unplugged the charger, removed the back cover and saw the blown IC (the "magic... -
by Garret Matt.Hello,
I'm Working on replacing an Inductor on this Dell's board and I need to come up with a compatible replacement. As much as I would like to smash a comparable 2R2 in the same spot I'd like to confirm the specs before confirming a killed board. For my purposes I'd be happy with a second opinion on the replacement inductor or the actual schematics/board view. As this is a commonly used Dell Rugged in my local service area, schematics would greatly help in the future.
Thank you in advance for any assistance you can render.

This is an LG edge LED lit LCD Display. The LEDs are on the bottom edge of the display. There are 2 bars (left and right) Each bar has many LEDs and a 6 pin connector. Each pin drive several LEDs thus is the highest current flow / heat junction. The weak lead free solder gradually fails with thermal expansion/contraction cycling and increases resistance. PSU will compensate up to a point, then when the current is too high, PSU just shut down the backlight causing a dark display. I have even seen one which the connector just fell off as solder points became completely detached....-

by BowlineMy question pertains to understanding the control circuity inside a Dell PT434 type battery used in Dell E6400, E6410 and other Dell notebooks?
Does anyone have a circuit diagram for the inside of a Dell PT434 battery and/or a description of how the control lines work to control this battery?
My reason for asking is I have a battery which I cannot get to charge beyond 1% in a Dell E6410 or E6400.
The LED bar graph charge indicator on the battery shows one LED lighted when the info button is pressed.
I have tried multiple different Dell power adapters. My Dell... - Loading...
