hp f2105 monitor black screen

i have an hp f2105 lcd monitor that has a black screen. the power indicator light comes on blue and stays on but the screen is black. i tried shinning a light on the screen to see if maybe it was the backlights that went out, but i dont see anything. this happened after the power went out, however my father said the ups backup came on but the monitor had shut off and was never able to get it to come back on. any ideas?? Also i removed the back cover and took some pics of the boards. i did notice quite a few capacitors that are bulged ontop. pls advise if i should replace these. the pics are below. thank you

Yes replace all even caps that look ok

i just placed the order through mouser.com i ordered the Nichicon HE series caps. there were a total of 17caps that i ordered

i just replaced the bad caps and no change at all. power light comes on blue when pressed, but that's all it does

i got the new inverter board installed and now the power light wont come on at all. i checked the led itself and its good. but when i press the button, nothing happens. i checked the main fuse that is next to the power plugin and its good. i also checked the 2 smaller fuses on the power supply board (f851 & f852) and they are good as well.

What DC Voltage do you get by measuring between the two legs of that main filter cap (the big 450VDC cap laying on its side) in the hot side of the circuit?
It sounds like your NEW power supply board is dead or the cables are not connected back in place correctly. It is easy enough to put the old power supply board back in place and see if you can get the LED to come on.

its the same power supply board. the board i changed was the inverter board. the voltage reading on the main filter cap (450v) is 165v

If you disconnect the cable to the inverter board, will you get your power LED back on?

How far are you from Novato?
