    I-INC HSG1064 LED Replacement Problems

    Hello Everyone, New guy here, have a fairly simple wiring problem.

    I have been in the process of repairing a 25' I-INC HSG1064 monitor that had blown CCFL bulbs and I replaced them with an LED strip kit that was available on eBay, the only problem I have had is finding a good power source.

    The DC-DC converter for the LED's takes 10-30VDC, and my SMPS board has a 5.3V and a 12V output, but when I try to use the 12V output to power my DC-DC converter and my lights, it draws too much current from the SMPS and throws the monitor into a boot loop, if I am lucky it will finally turn on after a few moments. The power supply silkscreen claims it is rated at 12V 700 ma and 5.3V at 3.3 Amps.

    I have tried running the lights with an external power supply, an old laptop charger with an output of 19V, and the lights run fine, which led me to my conclusion of over-current creating my problems, as this was done with the rest of the signal lines connected (DIM, ON/OFF).

    I have also tried removing the unneeded high-voltage components that drove the CCFL circuits hoping to cut down on current draw, such as the CCFL transformers, I would also like to remove the High-Voltage circuits transistors, but I do not know how to differentiate between the High-Voltage transistors and the transistors for the 12V/5.3V SMPS as I have no schematic or a service manual to help me, if anybody can help me find a service manual, it would be very appreciated.

      With my multimeter I read 478 ma going into the DC-DC converter powering both LED strips on the top and the bottom of the LCD. BTW In my last post I made an error, the 5.3V rail is 3.1A not 3.3A as I said.

        Can we see the STRAIGHT SHOT pictures of the power supply board top and bottom side and where it shows 12V 700mA?
        There is no way the 12V 700mA can supply enough power to turn the CCFL Inverter circuit.
        For 25" CCFL monitor, the power supply for the inverter will be higher than 12V.
        That 5V, 12vdc output are for the main logic board. There is power supply section for the inverter circuit that you need to tap into.
        Is your board FSP060-2PI11?

          My board model is 3BS0206712GP, attached is the pictures you wanted, a top down of both sides and a shot of the ratings silkscreen.

            You need to trace the voltage of the CCFL inverter, use a multimeter and check the voltage that feeds U303 and U302 (check if it's connected to 12v or 5.3v or more likely another output)

              OK, your power supply board is made by FSP: FSP060-2PI09.
              So take the Voltage at (+) & (-) to feed your LED power supply.

                Good news, I was successful in my repair, I found a 16V supply feeding into the FETs with enough current for my needs.

                Everybodys help is much appreciated, I learned a lot in the process of this repair, as this is my first repair dealing with LCD backlights.

                      on this laptop hp g72 b52sf i have screen problems as you can see with the photo joined in attachments.
                      the used graphic card is "intel hd graphics" and the id of the integrated screen is : "monitor/SEC3354".
                      i verified the driver of the pΓ©ripherals and they are ok. i verified the definition and settings of the graphic card and of the screen : definition 1600x900 and refreshment frequency :60hz. (they are the sames for the graphic card and the screen).

                      Hello guys,

                      I would like a quite old but still good 800 W ATX PSU to be repaired. The problem was an extremely heavy coil whine coming from the small secondary transfomer on the PCB.

                      I desoldered it hoping the references on the upper side would allow me to find a adequate replacement part. Sadly the written references drove me nowhere but to the manufacturer (I-MAG). I sent them a message like a bottle in the see asking them to send me a datasheet of the transformer. And... They responded ! I received a kind of datasheet (see attachment) but my competencies do not allow...

                      i have a 2020 macbook pro 13" A2251 with 820-09149 logic board so i found an issue with chip labeled U6903 according to schem. boardview using flexBV software, so i removed it from the board and the issue im having is that the chip says "07A08FI ELC180​" on top of it but when searching for a replacement chip, i can find tons of identical looking chips that also have "ELC180" printed on them but the first set of digits is never the same so im trying to find out if i need this exact chip with these same numbers as mine and if not which ones are compatible as a replacement?...

                      Recently I discovered my SSD died (OCZ/Toshiba 240 GB). It was in a USB enclosure, attached to the Linksys WRT-AC1200 router. Since then I removed the USB enclosure and attached it to my Win7 PC (AMD 8150 CPU, 970 chipset, 64 GB RAM). I also gathered one or two other USB enclosures to figure out what is going on.

                      (I suspect that I lost quite a few MP3 and FLAC files I recently ripped from my audio CDs, I think I lost very little un-replaceable stuff.)

                      I think it is IMPOSSIBLE for Win7 to have any problems with a USB enclosure as long as Win7 knows how to speak to the...
