Touchscreen Issues on Samsung Galaxy Tab A: Replacement Problems or Hardware Fault?

    Hello,

The touchscreen of my tablet started malfunctioning in a strip about one centimeter wide that stretched across the screen, approximately 5 centimeters from the top edge of the tablet.

I bought another touchscreen and replaced it. The issue with the strip disappeared, but on this new screen, the bottom area didn't work, up to about 6 centimeters from the bottom edge of the tablet. The malfunction was quite strange because it only occurred when the first touch was made in that area. In other words, if you touched an area outside the faulty zone and then dragged into it, the screen would detect the contact.

I replaced the touchscreen again, and now the initial issue (the strip near the top) has returned, while the bottom area works, though not perfectly. There are moments when it doesn't detect finger contact.

It seems strange that two touchscreens would fail. It's even stranger that the issue with the third screen is very similar to the original one.

Have I just had bad luck with replacement touchscreens, or could the problem be elsewhere?

    Best regards,

I used to do tablet repair years ago but gave up because the quality of the parts was so bad. All the screens for Samsung tablets are aftermarket and usually complete garbage.
