  • [Syncmaster 245B Plus] Problems with power board BN44-00195A

    Hello everbody!

Two weeks ago my old good Samsung Syncmaster 245B Plus with a faint hiss. So I took a look into the problem and found many problems with the BN44-00195A (https://cdn.badcaps-static.com/pdfs/...f8a620fd8c.pdf) on the internet. Also here, where some users had problems with bad caps. In my case all caps are looking fine and the problem may be a bit more complicated.

After I took a look at the power board if found a blown resistor with the number RM801 (22 Ohm, 1W). The two fuses were also blown. I replaced the resistor and the two fuses and gave it another shot. What could I say. Seconds after putting the power back on the same resistor has been blown again.

So I tried to find more faulty components on the power board. It seems that the diodes DM804 and DM809 are also faulty. I tried to test them with my multimeter and current flows in both directions. As far as I can tell QM802 and QM803 are still fine.

So at the moment I’ve no clue what caused this damage and I’m sure when I replace the diodes too everything will blow up again.

Does anybody of you had any kind of experience with this error and could provide me some hints where I have to look next? Thanks a lot!

    USB problems?
    by Hondaman
Recently I discovered my SSD died (OCZ/Toshiba 240 GB). It was in a USB enclosure, attached to the Linksys WRT-AC1200 router. Since then I removed the USB enclosure and attached it to my Win7 PC (AMD 8150 CPU, 970 chipset, 64 GB RAM). I also gathered one or two other USB enclosures to figure out what is going on.

(I suspect that I lost quite a few MP3 and FLAC files I recently ripped from my audio CDs, I think I lost very little un-replaceable stuff.)

I think it is IMPOSSIBLE for Win7 to have any problems with a USB enclosure as long as Win7 knows how to speak to the...

Lenovo 11e problems (any sata hdds are not recognized, sleep battery drain)

Need help to solve some problems with this laptop.

After working in bed with it one night and heating up too much (probably the cause of this problems) the sata HDD OS windows froze
After restart the original Sata HDD was not recognized anymore (but works fine in other laptops or PCs)

Tried connecting other good Sata 2.5 HDDs but not one is working in this laptop anymore (not the original nor others)

Before this had happened I observed some other problems:
When I tried replacing original mecanical HDD with a SSD HDD could not get them...

    Hello people.
I have the samo problem as described in this thread:
    https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showth...highlight=245b

The monitor was on standby and one day the screen (or just the backlight) would not turn on. Computer still recognized the monitor and was acting like it was there (5 screen setup). I switched the monitor off with the big switch by the cable, waited 5ish seconds and switched it back on. I heard a loud bang.

Both fuses blown, resistor blown, bad mosfets.

I checked most electrolitic caps in circuit and...

    Samsung Syncmaster 740BF repair
    by soopacrucial
    Hi folks,

I'm new here and was wondering whether you might be kind enough to give me some advice on troubleshooting the following problem:

Quite a few years ago now, a couple of years from new, my Samsung Syncmaster 740BF LCD monitor starting playing up by making a buzzing noise and then the display would go blank. I seem to remember the blue power led would also go off when this happened but that I'm not 100% sure of. By pressing the power button I do remember I could at first get it working again but eventually the problem would come back. At the time I had read about...
