    Dell E176FPb (highvoltage)

    Hello to all fellas

    i have dell E176FPb monitor no power. i open the monitor and checked the primary voltage no power and i used a multi-tester. to check for resistance, i find a fuse has been (open) i remove it and i changes a new one and i try to power on again automatically the fuse (open) T2ah/250v. i think they have problem in hot area and i already experience repair before but is not a same brand. i saw the capacitor blowted 100u/450v (c605) then i check the mosfet p7nk80zfp (Q601) then also i check the one resistor (r615) open.

    here is picture

    update... pic

    i replace it as a same value...
    1. T2ah/250v
    2. capacitor blowted 100u/450v
    3. mosfet p7nk80zfp (Q601)
    4. resistor (r615)

    result same as no power. but a new part i re test again ok.
    and also the the voltage is high?

    i check on AC supply Voltage

    i check on DC supply Voltage

    Here in Philippines Voltage Source 220V-240V AC.

    the ac voltage has been 500+ voltage not normal and then in dc voltage 300+.
    what part have a problem. may i know?

    TIA...

      there are no pictures.
      btw, if the main cap is blown you probably have a shorted primary rectifier.

        sir you mean the Bridge diode?. i already to change nothing happen.
        by now the problem is high voltage and no power.

        ot: now the fuse not blown.

              The voltage across mains filter will be about 320Vdc,it's normal.If you have replaced MOSFET and low value resistor labelled 4 please confirm what value you have replaced with.It should be about 0.5 ohms. There maybe other resistors which are open or PWM IC.
              Post better pictures.

                heres the new picture

                can work if .22ohms replace w/ .39ohms?

                but the old resistor is this

                Also wheres the PWM IC?

                Thank you for Advice Friend

                        Did all laptop works when they lost one of power phases for cpu?

                        Hello.
                        Have this acer nitro that have short on 1of4 for powerstage for cpu. i remove shorted drmos and power for cpu and laptop start but have no video or BL on lcd. all voltages are now ok. as i see there is some amateur injection marks so i think someone toasted cpu with highvoltage.

                        quistion is - should all/most of laptop works in basic when lost one of power phases for cpu/gpu ? i know that many does, but did all?...

                        Hello,

                        The PSU was totally dead, the following parts were burnt O/C or SHORTED in the primary section:

                        R14 -> R17 - Burnt O/C - 2.4 ohms,
                        R18 -> Burnt O/C - 910 ohms,
                        Q1 -> P7NK80ZFP - SHORTED,
                        U1 -> PWM Controller UC3843B - SHORTED.

                        I have ordered all the parts but there is also a Zener SHORTED and need help to know what to repace it with as no markings and the schematics are not available as far as I could find online.

                        It is ZD1. I have attached pictures showing the location and drawn out the part of the circuit...

                        Dell G3 3590 run without display attached?
                        by user11113
                        Hello,
                        im having a Dell G3 15 3590 (P89F001, servicetag JFJ5MT2) here without a Display assembly / LCD panel.
                        but when turning it on it blinks 2,7 - display failure.
                        after buying a 40pin edp cable, i attached a display from my HP laptop but it still wont do anything.
                        still 2,7 blinks, display stays off. even with the PowerON + D display test.

                        my plan was to use it without a built in display for a project that has a external one.
                        it wont boot with a hdmi display or usb-c displayport dock attached too.

                        i also couldnt find a edid...

                        Dell E176FPb 17" LCD No Power!
                        by mrlooi
                        I have a Dell E176FPb 17" lcd manufactured by BenQ. It will not power on i.e. there is no light on the power button. I have taken the panel apart and examined the power inverter board and found that it does not use the common p channel Mosfet C5707 eventhough the circuit board has blank spaces for them?. There are no bulging capacitors, found the 2A 250V pico fuse burned and one of the Bridge Rectifiers faulty. Replaced the fuse, bridge rectifier and 0.22uf 275V capacitors but still could not get it working. Anyone have any experience with this LCD panel or problem? Appreciate if anyone also...

                        A few months ago a friend of mine gave me a Dell E172Fpb monitor to have a look at. No backlight, flashing power button. Found the forums and tried everything advised, to no avail. Threw it out. Couple of days ago another friend gave me a Dell E176Fpb. Power button constant green, no backlight (can see the Dell 'Self test feature check' moving around the screen (No video sgnal applied)). Checked all the bad solder joints, all the caps, all the transistors, put it back together, no joy. One of the threads mentions checking voltage at pin 9 of TL1451 dual PWM chip, 0 volts, I started poking around...
