where can i get electrical components???

    hey guys!
first of all.. i just found out about this forum and i must say its awesome!!!!!!!
i have hyundai monitor and the inverter transformer gone bad.. i think
and i have one more monito and when the screen gose into sleep mode it start to beep so i checked it and its also the inverter transformer..
but where can i get those inverter transformerss??? i didnt found on ebay or aliexpress

heres a pic of the Hyundai "17 inverter transformer.

Re: where can i get electrical components???

Why do you think the transfomer is bad?
BTW, that is not inverter transformer, that is the SMPS power transformer, the two high voltage transformer are the two smaller one that drive the CCFL.
What exactly the monitor not doing? What voltages do you get at the connector to the logic/main board.
    Model number of the monitor?
You should also move the questions to the monitor section not in FAQ section.

That main transformer rarely fails. Most likely not the cause of your problems.

        1. well in the showed side i get 0-190+- AC {gose up and gose down constantly}
and on the other side there is no value..
        2. the monitor turn on then gose black after 3-2 sec. CCFL tested and looks good.
        3. this is Hyundai x93w
        4. this is the power supply board

you probably right. im not so good in electricity components but im learning..
so any one here can give me tips on how to check electricity components ?
like capacitors. thats like, really easy! the value is writing on the capacitor.
but on other components i dont know what values i need to get, or not to get.

        so any tips??

        BTW
in a component datasheet PDF, there is good value that the components need to give me if ill check it on multimeter?

          "1. well in the showed side i get 0-190+- AC {gose up and gose down constantly}
and on the other side there is no value.." You not reading it correctly and also that the switching frequency will be around 70~100KHz which your DIGITAL meter is not going to show AC Voltage at that frequency.
This power supply /inverter board is an always on power supply, so that is why I ask if you do have any DCV at the connector feeding the logic/main board, you can also disconnect that cable and see if the output dc Voltage will be steady without the main board connect. You can also have shorted circuit in the inverter section that causes the power supply to be cycling on and off. BTW, what did you use for the GND REF point for the meter when you make that measurement?

"2. the monitor turn on then gose black after 3-2 sec. CCFL tested and looks good." if ALL the lamps tested OK, then you have problem in the inverter circuits such as bad power MOSFETs, bad inverter transformers, diodes, etc.
          Read 2-second to black troubleshooting.
Also upload a straight shot pictures of the bottom and top side of the board so we can tell you where to check the power MOSFETs.

            dont know what you mean...

i have like 6-7 diodes on the board. should i take them out for a check? all of them?

2 pics of front so you can see all components:
            * the diode in red was taken out for a check and found good.

Please can you stop posting pictures inline and offsite - use the manage attachments
              facility.

              dont know what you mean...

When testing on the primary side of the board you need to use the negative leg of the BIG cap as ground.
When testing on the secondary (cold) side of the board use a ground screw.hole on the board.
DO NOT try and test voltage to the lamps. or from the Inverter transformers
May be up to 4000 volts.

How did you test the ccfls.

Next to test would be the secondary windings on the Inverter transformers
              with the power OFF

Diodes test them on the board and any that fail lift one leg and re-test.

                hey
sorry about the pics.. i will use the manage attachments from now on.
ok so i checked the diode on the board and the resultes are not good.
i know that i need to get 0.5-0.8 on a good diode and i get:
                2 diode SR5150 give 370+/-
                2 diode SB540 give me 150+/-

soo i guess those are not good.
                so ill replace them tomorrow..

im right about the 0.5-0.8 value right???

What do you mean 0.5-0.8? 0.5-0.8 what exactly?

Have you set your meter to diode mode and tested with red first to + and black to - then vica versa?

They should allow continuity one way and not in reverse.

If they fail then lift a leg from the board and restest

Ok I think the 0.5 to 0.8 is volts on the diode setting as in retiredcaps guide is says 0.5 to 0.7.

BUT you need to test twice once as you did in the picture then swap over the probes and test again

Here is the guide - there are lots of useful tests in there most with no power to the board.

SB540 has Vf of 0.48V at 5A If, so the Vf will be lower when using the diode mode due to very low test current, see FIG 3 Graph, but as selldoor suggested, you need to swap the probes also. i always check the diode for short or leakage using Ohm mode.

Again, you need to diconnect some of the load to see if the Power supply will stay on as noted in my post #5.

My Sparkle (SPI) PC power supply has broken. Originally, there was totally no power output. The 5V-standby was not there. I have replaced a few bulged capacitors but not helping.

I was trying to do more troubleshooting but burned more components. Some got burned so badly that the markings were gone. And also, the markings of a few transistors were gone because the component surface was worn out somehow.
If you happened to have disassembled the same PSU model, please help to provide the markings of some of these components.

Please help to identify the components on Surface Laptop GO3, model 2013, i5-1230U

                            Hi,

I am working on a Surface Laptop GO 3, which is the new release 2024 with a i5-1230U processor. Originally, it had a 256GB SSD, then the owner attempted to upgrade it to 1TB SSD by himself. "Surprisingly", it did not boot afterwards, then changed back to the original SSD, did not boot either.

It turned out to be that just a couple of components had been knocked off when the owner was trying to get off the SSD cover with his beloved screw driver.

I do not have another board of same model. Although I have a Laptop Go 2, the layout of that bit...

                            Sony KDL-46BX450 Inverter Troubleshoot Logic
                            by caseyjay_48
I am currently on a troubleshoot of 46” Sony KDL-46BX450 tv. I came back from Washington to Texas on medical emergency and had to leave all my tools up there. All I have is a couple of screwdrivers and a dvm. I wish to ask the community a troubleshooting question. Please forgive stupid questions as meds I am taking produce brain fog.
I have well maintained Sony KDL-46BX450. It went black one day. After turn-on, I get solid green light and Sony logo in screen center for about 1-2 seconds, then black. No blinking LEDs, no hissing. Flashlight test shows screen characters dimly viewable,...

                            Original Xbox 1.0 PSU: Foxlink FTPS-0002 Rev. B. — 12 V low, 5 V high — transformer?
                            by ohren
                            Hello!

I'm looking at an original Xbox PSU: Foxlink ftps-0002 rev. B. The 12 V output is too low, and the 5 V output is too (?) high. Unfortunately I don't have an oscilloscope but only a DMM for diagnosis.

                            Measured voltages with no load:

                            After rectifier diodes
                            12V: 6.17 V
                            5V: 5.67 V

Secondary transformer pins AC measurement (really don't know if this says anything)
                            12V: 2-2.5 V
                            5V: 1.04 V

I also have another (working) Xbox psu from Delta. The same measures there, in order, being: 10.79,...

                            Inverter Charger architecture question
                            by SoulFreeze
Hello all, I have a mastervolt charger inverter I'm trying to repair, as I have no schematics I decided to trace our some of the parts to figure out the general operation.
I managed to trace our a rough block diagram of the power stage, and I'm quite interested in the operation.

                            Here are my questions.
I noticed there seems to be no dedicated charging section in the circuit. After some googling I assume this is what they called a bidirectional power design. Would like to know if my assumption of the operation are right.
Given that there are no diodes. I am assuming...
