I would think the College will have all type of caps in the lab for the students to see what various type of caps there are.

Re: Buying transistor advice Dell E173FPc - 2 Seconds to Black

Just got back from holiday leave and finally received 30 of these, the old one is: an 80LL15T-7-YS G 0523, and all 30 of these are:
      80LL15T-7-YS G 0716.

Though if that was simply a bad connection as you said then the old one is possibly still good.

I am working to line up a DMM (to check capacitance), frequency generator and oscope (the university labs are closed currently) to work through those service guides you graciously forwarded. Though, I noticed that the service guides sent are -2 and mine is a -4. It appears you all have been doing this for awhile and that these are likely all that I will need.

I didn't really want 30 of these inverter/ transformers, but the parts which they used to make this old monitor are hard to find and you almost have to go with whatever you can find. If I do end up using this part, I think it is good judgement to replace both of them so they will match.

I finally got onto a DMM, the capacitor is giving 0.018 microfarads. I'll try to find a stats sheet. Wait, I think somebody else talked about this in this string.

            Windows 11 buying advice needed
            by Hondaman
My mother may soon need to upgrade from Win7 (to continue safe browsing, e-mail, and office tasks, without a printer). Right now, she uses an Intel Core2Quad 9550 CPU (not sure of motherboard). Video is either the Radeon 6670 or 6770, completely air-cooled, with fins like a motorcycle engine (I think I pointed a 120mm fan at it). PSU is probably Seasonic, still running after 14 years (I choose quality). I am not sure of the RAM, or the PCI-e wifi chip. Probably 8 GB or 16 GB. Perfect for WIndows 7.

She does not want to switch to Linux. And she does not want to use a laptop because...

Anker SoundCore 2 Bluetooth Speaker Turns Off After a Few Seconds (Possibly Firmware Issue?)
            by zklgfs
            Hi,

I have an Anker SoundCore 2 (A3105) that I saved from the trash (well, I guess there's a reason why it was supposed to go into the trash...). The problem is that it always turns off after a few seconds (sometimes it stays on a bit longer, between 30 and 60 seconds, but it still turns off). The power light turns on and the bluetooth light starts blinking, but both abruptly turn off again. The "turn off sound" is still played after the lights turn off. Sometimes, it also loops the on-off cycle several times without me pressing any buttons. If I connect an AUX cable, music...

Lenovo Legion 5 high fan spin turns off after 34 seconds
            by twonk9098
            Hi all,

I have a Lenovo Legion 5 with a Ryzen 7 series CPU and RTX 3070 GPU. My issue is that it turns on and all seems fine except after a few seconds the fans spin up high and the laptop turns off after 34 seconds.
I can get into bios and can even boot and login to Windows however after 34 seconds no matter if Im at the bios screen or booted into Windows it will just turn off.

I have managed to run HWmonitor and the temperatures of the CPU and GPU are fine, I can also touch the heatsync which is warm but not hot.

I have tried a few new bios but exactly...
