Fujitsu Siemens l22w - every time it is a new problem

Hello

I had acquired a Fujitsu Siemens 22" LCD monitor in a non working state. I had replaced the capacitors and got nothing. Then I went and replaced the inverter transformer and the LCD was back to life.

But yesterday after just a few working hours it died again. It just made a sould SSSSSS sound, went black and started smelling of a very bad electronic problem. And the button's led light was flickering very fast.

I have disasembled it and I think I found the part that died, it is on the picture below, cause it smelled very bad. I think it is an AC-DC tranformer? So when the power cable is connected on one side there is 230V on every pin on one side and on the other there is 0V on each pin.

So I am on the hunt for this part but I can not find it on ebay or any other site. So can anyone please tell me what part must i search for?

It is high frequency power transformer which is driven by the Power MOSFET SMPS IC, It is not driven by the main power line directly.
Did you check the SMPS IC?

Ok - Thanks but we still need to know where did you place the negative lead on your meter

On the ground where the bolt is. Next to the AC cable connector.

"It sounds like you are not using the correct ground ref for the primary (hot) side of the circuit for taking the voltage readings on the primary side. The negative leg of the large 450vdc cap is the ground ref point for the primary circuits, do not use chassis as the ground ref point. The chassis is the ground point for the secondary (cold) side of the circuits." Quote from budm which is why he asked.

Also can you do clear pictures of the backs of the board- the trasnfromer doesnt "look" burnt but there is some brown at the side of it.

If you have one of those it may be burnt as well.

Another common fail for these seems to be the inverter transformer but that would not account for the lack of voltages
