LP2407 Front Panel Controls Ribbon Cable Replacement Part?

Does anyone know if there's any way (is it available anywhere?) to replace the tiny, delicate ribbon cable that goes to the front panel controls on the Gateway LP2407? One of the pins had lifted off the cable so I very, very carefully bent it back and applied a tiny bit of super glue using a needle to stick the pin back to the cable but upon plugging it in and firing up the monitor I get no power to the front panel controls.

If it's only a couple bucks to replace such a cable I'd rather not go through the hassle of trying to fix this. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

A photo would help. I've replaced damaged ribbon cables in the past, either with an identical part or on one with the same pitch traces but to many that has needed trimming down.

Sorry, my bad. Please see below/attached:

I see some floating around on eBay with the same numbering "CviLux E208903 AWM20706" but they seem to have a different pin pitch on the connector end or are fairly expensive at $15+/each because they've been pulled from old electronics as opposed to from an OEM.

Is there any slack in the cable ? You can trim off the damaged end and carefully scrape off the white plastic to reveal new traces. I'll have a look in my bag of cables and see if i have something suitable.
What length is your cable and can you measure the pitch of the connectors. Measure from one centre to another.

The problem is that the conductors on the ends (1/4" or so) of the cable which plug into the boards are substantially more stiff than the rest of the cable. In order to plug the cable into the boards the pins must be perfectly aligned as the pitch is only 0.5mm! I measured the length of the cable and it is nearly 70 cm. only one end is bad though, so I suppose I could trying splicing it and try soldering these tiny wires if I had only a shorter cable. I appreciate your help, diff.

          Updated specs of cable:
          CviLux E208903 AWM 20706 105C 60V VW-1
          Length: 70 CM
          Pitch: 0.5 MM

How about one of these - then sell the big one and make a profit?

I used a couple of layers of tape on the backside of the cable i used to thicken it up.

Need a replacement ribbon cable DELL Latitude E5470
                by lowpost99@gmail.com
Anyone know if the ribbon cables are standard across laptops cases like in a PC, or are they proprietary to each manufacturer? I damaged the one that runs between the MB and the power / HDD / Battery Status Indicator LED Circuit Board. The Dell SKU/DPN: ADM70LED. I just need help finding a replacement. Could I possibly use a similar cable from a donor laptop?

                by zesko
                Hello,
I have a XPS 9520 with broken daughter board and missing ribbon cable. I can fix the board by replacing the connector, but I can't find the correct ribbon.

There is 2 models, idk which one is needed on my laptop.

                0xkvng
                00vpr2

Daughter board is LS H822P. When I check for a palmrest, the board attached to have a 0xkvng ribbon. But when I check for LS h822p, it's 00vpr2 ribbon...

Someone can help me with that please ? Idk the difference between these 2 ribbon but they definitely doesn't look the same..

                thanks...

T-con suspect issue. Both ribbon cables no picture. One ribbon cable ok. (58pus8545)
                by Tr0ll
Hi guys! I realized you have a lot of knowledge here so i am hoping you could point me in right direction with my odd issue.

The Tv is a Philips 58PUS8545/12, it had no picture but working backlights.

                Original T-con:
Opened the Tv and tested to unplug one ribbon cable at a time. With this test i could see that i got fine picture on both halves as long as there was only one ribbon cable connected, with two connected picture were gone.

                First replacement T-con:

I thought it might be t-con and ordered new t-con from china(supposedly tested)...

50" LG tv with a slightly torn ribbon cable ~ Any repair method?
                by kca
                Hello all ~

I have this LG 50" plasma tv that is in perfect working condition except for the fact that it has one (and only one), singular torn ribbon strip on one (and only one) of the 8 orange ribbon connectors that feed from the Y-Sustain to the screen itself.

So, as a result, there is one, singular thin black horizontal line that goes across the entire screen. Distracting enough to render the picture unwatchable for all intents and purposes.

What I am wondering is if anyone out there has ever had any success in fixing one of these ribbon cables...
