OK, then that fuse on the T-CON is bad.

Since I doubt I can find the exact same fuse here, what should i look for? Same size, 3.15A and 24V? Any other specs matter?

Do the current rating and rated voltage have to be exactly the same? I looked around and most I find around here are rated 3.0A / 3.5A and 32V or above.

Can I solder it on top of the old one?

For testing 3A 32v would be ok Doesnt even have to be same type - you can use a pico and yes just piggyback it on top of the old fuse -cuts down on possibility of damage to the board. Being slightly lower amps may mean it blows so be aware of that.

It is working fine with the new fuse, there were 1 or 2 minor glitches in the first few days, but they seem to be gone too.

Any idea what could have caused the fuse to blow? And why did the display work after I first took it apart? I thought it was the reseating of the cables that helped but that seems unlikely now.

          Thanks for the help!
