    Viewsonic va2213w illumination problem

Viewsonic VA2213W, there is an illumination problem, in the middle of the screen, images attached.
I visualy checked the power board and main board, there is no bulged capacitors, no burnings, everything looks normal, and quite good.
I dont have ESR meter, only digital multimeter, but I didnt measured any voltages.
I found service manual, also in attachment.

Where to start looking for the problem ?

Did you have the set before the fault
Have you tried it on another cable vga/ dvi
Have you tried another screen on the pc
Remove clean and replace the cable to the tcon (if it has one)
Post Good clear picture of the boards invluding tcon or panel board

    May be a faulty panel
Please upload pictures using attachment function when ask for help on the repair

        I meant
Did you own the set before the fault - have you seen it working correctly.
Did it just come on like that one day - just a history of how the fault developed.

I've never seen this defect. with all hooked up and monitor opened detach the lvds ribbon conn. and see if the white light is uniform, 90% is not lamp problem, but sadly, if is not that i think is a panel defect very much difficult to repair (since i don't see very much knowledge about panel problems here, documents in the web are few).

Hi, this is my personal laptop, which the original board (lets call it Board A) blew up PU8700 (TPS51486), making a hole on the board, i had left the laptop at my desk one day with the battery fully charged and didn't touch it for a week, but when i tried to turn it on it didn't
Thought the battery was dead, so i plugged in the charger then tried to power on, the power LED blinked once, charged LED still orange, unplugged the charger, plugged in again and I noticed the "magic smoke" smell, so i unplugged the charger, removed the back cover and saw the blown IC (the "magic...

Looking for help with a Viewsonic VP230mb where the backlight comes on only momentarily
              by lostone
Hello, I came here after finding some similar questions asked on other monitors and hope someone here can help me get an ancient Viewsonic VP230mp (23" 4:3 LCD) back to working condition.

First a little background, I have a background in computer and electrical engineering, and I'm smart enough to know I know nothing about LCD displays and how they work. For this topic I'm as green as they come.
When the display is turned on the viewsonic logo displays in the uppper left for 2 seconds then the screen goes black, the power LED is green (on) and when a computer is connected...

Sony KDL-40Z4500 LCD with stripes and 9 blinks (possible BGC board or harness problem
              by huj3r
              Hi there!

I have a Sony Bravia KDL-40Z4500 which shows a colored vertical stripes pattern when turning on, with a central black shadow that slowly dissipates within the first 10 seconds.

Photo of the situation after the black shadow dissipates:

After this behavior the red LED will blink 9 times, then pause for a bit, and blink again 9 times, in a loop.

I checked the manual (available here) and this corresponds to "HFR error", quoting from the manual:

              > This indicates HFR Communication error. [ HFR Communication...

I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

              Assuming...

              Problem

This is an LG edge LED lit LCD Display. The LEDs are on the bottom edge of the display. There are 2 bars (left and right) Each bar has many LEDs and a 6 pin connector. Each pin drive several LEDs thus is the highest current flow / heat junction. The weak lead free solder gradually fails with thermal expansion/contraction cycling and increases resistance. PSU will compensate up to a point, then when the current is too high, PSU just shut down the backlight causing a dark display. I have even seen one which the connector just fell off as solder points became completely detached....
