HP-G72 output Video to VGA on boot

My son broke his HP-G72 laptop screen. I was trying to get it to boot up and output the video to the VGA port. I've tried to do this by pressing F4 on boot with no luck. Does anyone have an suggestions to try. It's hard with a broken screen to see anything. Thank You in advance.

I have researched this and the only information I can find is F4 on boot. I can't see the broken screen to do anything. Looking for a way to force video out to Vga or HDMI and haven't had any luck. Thanks

usually in the keyboards there is a symbol of th change of screen on the F-keys, you must press Fn+that key.

Read the manual, maybe there is a setting in the setup menu that you have to access blindly to set the output to the external or dual.

I even tried to disconnect the broken lcd thinking it would force HDMI or VGA output with no Results. The only thing I can think is after so many boot attempts it is not loading windows 7 now. It has the option to output VGA or Hdmi and the lcd at the same time from what I have read but getting to that screen is impossible at this point. Thanks for your input guys.

                        On Windows 7

On a Windows 7 computer the setup procedure will be a little bit different. Rather than holding down your FN key and then pressing one of your Function keys you will hold down the Windows key in the lower left hand corner of the keyboard (the key with the Windows logo on it) and then press the P key. The keystroke WIN + P is identical to the FN+Function keystroke for older versions of Windows seen above.

i have read your post but since you don't say "i have read the setup part" i cannot be sure since the F4 pressing is not part of the SETUP MENU paragraph.

                                  Good morning everyone,
I'm trying to repair an onkyo ht-r390 that has no sound output, despite the volume being at maximum, the rest seems to work; the video output signal (coming from an hdmi input) is present, but the audio is absent. Similar situation if I send an audio signal from any input I have no output.

The firmware reported is the following:
                                  M:1.00/11107BLP

The DSP firmware given the question marks seems corrupt.

Would a moving screen saver confirm that the panel is ok or it could still be a panel issue ?

I have an HP gaming 15-0013dx laptop , motherboard quanta G3HA with AMD Ryzen 5 cpu and Nvidia discrete grsphics card. The laptop turns on and u can see the screen polarizing on and off in a loop but no video signal. All voltages are ok measured and stable (I checked all with oscilloscope). This schematics don't have power sequence but I'm using a similar sequence from another laptop with AMD CPU and I get all to the point CPU must release apu_pwrok and apu_rst#, this signal comes valid only for the period of time the screen is polarized and they disappear and same loop behaviour (active/inactive)....

To put you in context I recently replaced the battery from my HP Pavilion 15 bc400ns with a used one, everything was going good. The same day, I decided to update the BIOS, everything went good. The thing occurred after I let the battery drain iddling on Windows 11 for the second time to calibrate it that the screen did not turn on again, the computer was on but the screen did not turn, like it would not wake from hibernation. I decided to restart the computer but got no video.

The thing is that I had installed TeamViewer and could log into the computer...

                                  Hi,

I have a iphone XS that came in for a screen replacement, the screen was badly cracked, and inside missing scues, on the back of the screen still the blue protector, the screen was a LCD. So we replaced the screen and all good, installed the screen and we noticed that pressing the screen with a bit of force but not excessive, the phone dies. After plugging the charger it turns back on, but again if you press it it dies. I open the phone again, and I can't see anything major, with the phone open, if I press on the logic board, battery, charging board, or even putting pressure on...
