how to test eefl lamps?

Hi,

i have problem with 26 inch lcd tv. the 2 seconds to black problem.
i inspected the 2 inverters but found no faulty component so far.
so maybe there is a bad eefl lamp. I'm not familiar with them .
there are 2 connectors with only 1 wire going to the panel.

i have a ccfl tester, but i don`t know if i can use it to test it on the connector because only 1 wire , do i need to hook the other wire to ground ?

or do i need to open the panel and test each lamp individually?

Do you have the LCD panel model? There should be a sticker on the back, then you can look up the spec sheet for the panel, it will tell you the requirement of the lamps and the electronics.
