    AOC e2243Fwk

    Hello, I've got this LCD LED monitor and it doesn't get video signal from the VGA cable. It powers on fine and I can access its menu, but won't display anything from the VGA cable.

    The board is QACBAA06800. There a mostly solid capacitors, what else could I check?

    The chances are that you might be better off just buying that board from ebay. The capacitors used on those boards are really hard to replace. Before buying a board post sharp pictures using the attachment section below in Additional Options below the Submit Reply and Preview Post button. Take pictures of the front and back of all boards. There is a possibility that there is an LDO Regulator on the VGA board that might be bad, but can't tell without pictures.
    Have you ever stopped to think and then forget to start thinking again?

        Does it go to standby mode if you do not have VGA cable connected? Does it wake up from standby by when VGA from running PC is connected?
        There are two 3-pin regulators, U702, U703; report DC voltage reading of all 3 pins with ref. to the chassis (ground).

          Hello budm, it does go to standby after showing "Cable Not Connected" (LED light turns to RED, White means it's on) and it won't come back from standby after plugging cable.

          Here are the readings:

          U703= 0v, 1.8v, 3v
          U702= 0v, 3.3v, 4.99v

            Those look ok - have you tried the monitor with dvi input.
            If it is dv-i and not dv-d you can get an adapter to use a vga monitor.

            There are many components you could test - test that small 0 rated resistor at R102 just by the vga socket

            Have you tried a different vga cable or another monitor on this PC and cable?

              Re: AOC e2243Fwk

              Thank you selldoor, I tried the DVI-D with a DVI adapter to HDMI and I got signal/image.

              I've tried different VGA cables, I can confirm it's not the cable.

              I don't know what kind of test I can confirm with that resistor, I measured a 0.6 of resistance.

                Ok 0 rated - just testing for continuity so that looks ok.
                You perhaps still need to test the vga out from the pc to another vga monitor to be sure its not a fault on the PC end.

                  Re: AOC e2243Fwk

                  I've tried that before, with 2 desktops of mine, this problem was the reason a customer brought it to me.

                  Additionally I tested the continuity (beeps) on the 15VGA Pins against the solder on the board.

                  Should I give up and tell her to replace board? Even though DVI works...
