Re: T220HD flashes off after 2 seconds.
I had one of these that the inverter transformer went on... But it could be the usual electrolytic capacitors causing your problem.. You'll need to take good quality pictures of the boards back and front, and post them here.. Then we can help you diagnose the fault.. -

Hi
I have the same problem, after 2 seconds the blackligt is gone.
With a lamp over he screen and a dark room you can still see some picture.
I checked the caps on the powerboard but they are seems to be good.
Sorry for my bad english.

Re: T220HD flashes off after 2 seconds.
If the inverter section works fine then it could be that one of the CFL tubes is dead or going bad or one of the wires is no longer soldered properly to the cfl tube.
Checking the ends of the cfl lamps is a bit hard, sometimes you have to remove the metal panel, and you have to gently remove the silicone jacket from the ends and sometimes just this step alone makes the wires break off from the lamp..
Ideally you would find use a second set of tubes and replace existing connectors with your test tubes and if your test tubes light up and monitor works showing pictures then you know the lamps inside are bad (or the connection to them)
another forum member has some nice pictures of how the lamps are inside

and here's a way to make your own test lamp from old cfl lamps:

by Ryan.manHello everybody! Posting this in hopes somebody has some expertise that leads to a clear path of troubleshooting that saves me a lot of time!
My macbook has the flex cable problem, the one that prevents the screen turning on. Ive been dealing with this for the last 3 years. Last year it went dead and I managed to fix it following youtube tutorials. But my fix wasnt the best, the problem returned a month later. This week, it went dead again. I again tried to fix it.
This time the original cable broke too close to the screen, it can't be fixed without tearing the screen... -
by smic717394Hi,
I have a iphone XS that came in for a screen replacement, the screen was badly cracked, and inside missing scues, on the back of the screen still the blue protector, the screen was a LCD. So we replaced the screen and all good, installed the screen and we noticed that pressing the screen with a bit of force but not excessive, the phone dies. After plugging the charger it turns back on, but again if you press it it dies. I open the phone again, and I can't see anything major, with the phone open, if I press on the logic board, battery, charging board, or even putting pressure on... -
by odie34I am a hobbyist (not a professional) so please be gentle...
I recently received an XR-77A80J that wouldn't turn on. (Repeating 5 flashes when plugged in.)
I did a hard reset by holding the power button for about 30 seconds until the set powered down. I then tried to turn it on and it powered up, bringing me to the setup screen. There's not a lot of detail on the setup screen but the picture didn't have any distortions, so at least a cursory examination suggests no physical damage to the screen. The set appeared to be working normally, but it shut down after about 15 seconds,... -
by ChrissygizmoHello everyone, I’ve just been given a Samsung UE55JU6800K smart tv as it had white spots on the screen due to the led lenses falling off. After refitting them & putting the tv back together I thought it was a nice easy fix for a free bedroom tv , then I tried it before screwing the back into place. I realised that the right side of the screen was darker than the other side, I removed the screen again as I thought the backlights had failed but they are fine.
I put the screen back in place & turned it back on . The screen seemed to be ok again but different screens on the same... -
by ipatchi have an ipad pro 9.7" (1st gen) A1674 where i replaced the screen, but never attached the screen to the frame/chassis (glued down) due to the ipad being previously dropped so the new screen would never fit in the frame properly. so i need flex/bend the chassis to eventually fix the new screen in properly. so i temporarily just applied blue tape around the edges of the screen to keep it in place. when watching videos with the ipad the screen started flicker, so i though maybe the new quasi cheap amz screen i purchased was going out. so i disconnected then reconnected with power still on,...
