    Re: Repairing a vx2235wm

I have not had a chance to check the CCFL Tube's yet. But I noticed last week... My monitor was on for 12+ hours with no problems... When I was ready to leave work.. I put my keyboard and mouse above my tower. While doing that my I kept my monitor on... And I accidentally bumped the keyboard into the monitor lower area near the power button... and then it went black all of the sudden. Does this mean anything? That it could be something else other than the CCFL's?

Doubts about: working laptop without a soldered ram/vga/battery
          by DoOm86
I'm new to elettronic, so perhaps my question has no sense.
Can a laptop still work without one of the soldered ram?
I was wondering if a laptop (or any other device actually) can still works if removing a faulty soldered ram without soldering back a good replacement. Of course considering the mainboard has other ram chip perfectly functional.
I tried on a MacBook Air and also an Asus laptop and it seems no possible without a replacement. At least, not just removing the faulty one.
Sometimes for the seek of data recovery on a flash soldered drive on the mainboard,...

Repairing or replacing an LMB202E LCD Display
          by subwagon
Hello everyone, I'm in the process of repairing a tabletop air cleaner, but am having difficulty repairing a failing LCD display.

3 years ago I ran a soldering iron over the ribbon cable and got the entire display to come back to life. Unfortunately it gradually failed again but this time I wasn't so lucky at getting it to revive with heat.

I believe that I may have gotten the ribbon too hot this time, so I'm looking for an alternative to an LMB202E. Unfortunately I am not having much luck. I did find an LMB202A, LMB202C, and LMB202D but I'm afraid the pin outs are...

          by VcemPzd
          Hello everyone !

My name is Chris, I am a 30 years old embedded software developer working in the automotive industry. I am really passionate about learning new skills and repairing/crafting stuff. I came around this forum last week with the goal of repairing my faulty gaming laptop, indeed, I was video editing on it when suddenly a black screen popped and never disappeared I bought some stuff to try to repair it and learn as many things as possible about computer repairs but nothing worked so far. When the black screen appeared, my legion 5 pro was connected to my external monitor...

Ps4 Pro long blue light of death
          by Gjackson
          Hi,
I have an NVA-001 Ps4 Pro with long blue light of death, visual inspection looks fine apart from dust and the very dried thermal paste which I cleaned and replaced, I scoped the board around for any shorts on capacitors and there were none, no blown fuses either. Looking under a thermal camera, southbridge gets warm along with APU and phases for the APU. I cannot tell if RAM is too cold? maybe not powered? but RAM chips are all the same temperatures. At this point I removed NOR and enabled UART to diagnose further. The only thing I get from UART is this following message:
