Daikin IR remote ARC452A3 not communicating
Hello everyone.
I have this remote that turns on and does everything is supposed to do, but not communicating with my AC unites. With other remote (same model) everything is ok.
Weird thing I have a IR tester and the remote signal is detected even from far away. I checked with my phone camera as well and I can see the light clearly every time I push a button. I opened both remotes (working and not) and all the values are the same on the main capacitors, led transmitter and even the frequence on the crystal. Of course I even changed the batteries and give it a good clean with isopropyl...

Update: after making many many attempts and checked everything, I belive the GPU has failed (but not shorted). I sent the laptop to HP which replace the mainboard. Now it's working perfectly. I checked the values of the new mainboard and confronted them with the old one. On the GPU coil the ohms value was higher on the new motherboard, that's all.
Hope this can help someone else in the future.
Thanks everyone for the help....

OK then. I'll try to check the entire board again and see what i can do more to try to understand what the problem could be. i'll write here when i have updates

Same thing. It turns on, stay on, it charghes the battery and turns off if i push the power button. I have all the necessary rails present, no shorts were found. The display is completly dark (no image, no backlight) and nothing with an external monitor. I cecked again the pin of the bios with the oscilloscope and i have both voltages and signal presents.
Can we try a different bin or we are sure that is not the problem at this point?
Thx

I succeded to save the bios with the AsProgrammer. i lefted the setting as they were (size=16777216; Page=256; SPI=25xx).
Thanks in advance guys...

Ok, tomorrow I'll try to back it up and post it here, hoping my cheap bios programmer will do the job (ch341).
Thanks for the help till now, I really appreciate it...

OK, i found it. it's a "mxic 25u1633f".
It doesn't have "128" in it but it is the only chip that according to the datashhet is a bios chip.
This notebook has also another chip close to the SIO (IT5570e-256 CXA) which is still a ITE (8308fn CXA). Never seen something like this.
I backuped the bios (hoping is this one mxic 25u1633fπ) and posted it here...

SMDFleaSMDFlea It's a winbond, it's start with the number of 25 and has 3,2v. But maybe you are right. I just checked the datasheet and take a screenshot. I'll check the mb better asap, probably i got tricked π€¦π»...

Ok, I couldn't read the chip with the clip that comes with the ch341. Tomorrow morning or Monday I'll desolder it and solder it on the adaptor. I hope the cheap reader won't give me hard time. Then I'll post it here.
Maybe it's the ME region π€·

HP Omen 17-ck0010nl no video
Hello,
I have the following notebook:
HP Omen 17-ck0010nl
SN: 5CD2018YV7
MAINBOARD: DA0G3LMBCG0 REV G
BIOS CHIP: WINBOND 25Q80DV16 2139 6124 52200
The computer stop posting while whatching youtube. It turns on, stay on, it charghes the battery and turns off if i push the power button. I have all the necessary rails present, no shorts were found. Already disconnected everything from the mainboard and change the ram (trying even one per time in both slots).
At this point i believe is a bios problem. I try with an usb pendrive and the bios on the...

Yes the new chip was still getting hot.
I didn't find any short before I ordered a new one. I installed the new one, checked, everything was fine. I turned the laptop on and I had backlight but no video, the laptop at least turned on and I thought "ok, this one is solved, there is another fault". But then the laptop shut down itself and guess? Same as before and the chip was hitting up like the first one. Still no short according to my multimeter even after removing the chip, but a low resistance of course on the coil of the output. So I carefully injected a bit of of current on...

Hello again.
Sorry I didn't update you guys before but the TV was in test at the client's house and I wanted to be sure it was working.
So at the end the tv had a double fault. A problem was in the power supply board, which I couldn't understand which component was faulty. The TV at that point turned on but after just a week of working intermittently, I found out a motherboard problem as well. I had one and I changed it to save time, even though I was curious to know the problem.
Now it's working great.
Thanks...

Sorry. Model: philips 55pft5500/12. I can't edit my title.
EazyBone I didn't think to check the return signals, assuming everything was alright since the TV worked fine (backlight apart). I'll check the signals, hoping that is a problem, at least I can try to work it out.
One thing I know for sure. When the TV is in standby I don't have voltage at the BL connector. If I turn on the TV I have it instead.
When the TV is on I have 76v on the positive lines and 48v at the negative ones, comparing with ground. While checking with my led tester,...

philips 55pft5500/12 Backlight issue. What am I doing wrong?
TV philips 55'' no backlight (image ok).
I tested the backlight with my led tester from the unplugged connector cable and it lights up. I had voltages at the motherboard connector, but anyway I order a new psu. Same problem, same voltages. Disassembled the TV and checked every strip with my led tester, they all light up, same voltage for every pair of strip (they go two by two).
What am I missing?
And something else I don't understand. I checked and I have 3v Leds, 10 per strips. Why every pair of strip (so 20 Led) take about 32v when powered up with my led tester π€2 Photos

Unknown IC heating up on a Hp looping every 3sec
Hello. Notbebok Hp 15s-fq2004nl, board DA0P5MB38A0, turns on and then off after 3 seconds, in loop. Powering on with full battery, or with original charger, or both, same result. With power supply and everything unplugged, same.
No core voltages... but no shorts was found (31 ohms the coil of the cpu) . Bios ic sends data and has the right voltage in those 3sec.
3v ldo present, 3v and 5v just in those 3 sec.
This IC is mad hot (70 degrees) after pressing the power button, no info was founded about it. On the IC is written "W384" and "2823D". No board schematic...1 Photo
