Hi..The logic board on the Viewsonic VX2235wm-5 Monitor has a voltage regulator with ZCPk on its top...I need a data sheet for it ? Can anybody please enlighten me how one would go about this as I have typed in ZCPk in google and got nothing..Thanks

I found a service manual for your monitor but It didn't say the number of the voltage regulator.
Anyways, based on my experience with Viewsonic, I'd say it's an AIC1117-3.3. It's output are always 3.3v

    Cheers.

If its fixed value then checking resistance from a ground point eg the Vga/DVI fixing, will show a short cct.If it is a variable one then there will probably be no Ground, but again you can measure DC volts from the same Vga/DVI socket, and a voltage on each pin should then be measureable.

          It's a VX2235wm-1 service manual but I don't think it's THAT different.
VR are pretty much the same. I found the same VR on 3 differents models of Viewsonic.

Check the output of the VR.

Are you sure it's a voltage regulator? What is the labeling on the board itself? QXXX, UXXX, ICXXX? Photos of your logic board would be most helpful.

Hi, this is my personal laptop, which the original board (lets call it Board A) blew up PU8700 (TPS51486), making a hole on the board, i had left the laptop at my desk one day with the battery fully charged and didn't touch it for a week, but when i tried to turn it on it didn't
Thought the battery was dead, so i plugged in the charger then tried to power on, the power LED blinked once, charged LED still orange, unplugged the charger, plugged in again and I noticed the "magic smoke" smell, so i unplugged the charger, removed the back cover and saw the blown IC (the "magic...

I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

Help identifying voltage regulator on this concept 2 pm5 monitor pcb board?
                by artvandalai
This Concept 2 rower pm5 monitor doesn't shut down. It keeps turning on and stays on after being turned off. I read on another forum by another user that replaced the same component to check the voltage regulator.
The monitor should pull around 35mA when turned on and in shutdown it should drops to around 0.060mA. Any advice on finding the voltage regulator on this board to check if it needs to be replaced?

hello ,for diy voltage injector for short killer/finder -- is it possible to use something like this - LM317 DC Linear Regulator, DC-DC 4.5~40V Turn 1.2~37V, Step Down Power Module, Adjustable

and ampere controller along (to make it zero amps ) with some addons(transistors diodes etc.) for it -- and use some 5v adaptor or 3.3v volt rail of my smps power supply as input and finally get 1v and zero amps for injecting voltage to find out short circuit component ? ..
for source input -- can we use 3.3 -4 volt 18550 battery ?( i have some of those ) and then adding ampere regulator...

                • TV came with vertical bars and no image. Found faulty TVS on left buffer board. Also replaced T-Con (may have damaged the original while hot air removing components, board has slight warp) and have full image but few horizontal lines on the screen. Some of the lines appears to be 2 pixel tall while others are 1 pixel tall.
                • Disconnecting left and right buffer board potentially reveals problems on both sides with different signals (unless this T-Con require jumper like Samsung FB_TRDY1&3) Fault
