Hi..I have downloaded 1155 socket spec sheets but cannot find one that has the pin info in it like it does on one 1156 data sheet...I wonder if anybody knows where I can download one...

Hi..To be honest I never ...and I have just wrapped the M/B up and going up town to post it back to its previous owner...As far as I am concerned it was a no goer and i really was not in a position to carry on with it...
Overnight I actually thought of a way that I could test if there is any compression of pins..so I do have a motherboard that I can try my theory out on..Hk...Leave a comment:

Hi....I have an 1156 ASUS Motherboard..When it arrived a week ago I immediately unwrapped the package to inspect it....I have through experience a phobia about CPU sockets and pins?? So when I noted a CPU socket cover on it I thought thats good and is it hiding something at the same time ....So I removed the cover ...My first impression was these pins do not look right ...they were all aligned properly but did not appear to be raised as if they had been compressed or flattened but I waited til I had better light during the daylight and also under a halogen light...Now I have another faulty 1156... -

Thanks for your reply...Of course at this stage its the MB I am trying to get going and I am using a perfectly good and tested i3 CPU.....and the MB will not go with it... Now I have taken photographs and enlarged them etc and MY concern is still what I see as the pin alignment on the right side of the socket ...the pins have been twisted anti clockwise ..Yes only by a small degree but when I look at a photo of the contact pads on a CPU ...there is no room for misalignment ....HkLeave a comment:

[CODE]I finally got ASUS tech support on the phone Monday; he had me strip everything off the motherboard except the power supply connected at the 24 pin and 8pin CPU mounts. Fortunately, the Rampage II extreme has a start button on board! Started up, and power supply fan cut off in 40-60 seconds indicating the usual failure. ASUS TS said it sounded like a ground fault, and could either be the motherboard or power supply. Long story short... Hi..Moved pin and Just did a simple bench test ...MB/cpu with PSU and started with touching the F socket Power pins with a screwdriver.... I actually thought it was gong to keep going..but after 35-40 seconds it rebooted ....The length between reboots is a worry ..I thought a short was a lot quicker between boots ....any comment is welcome ?? Hi..Yes I thought I had explained everything has been checked with alternative working components eg the MB when bought had an i7 in it..it has since been checked with an i3 that I know goes....I did try the original i7 in another Gigabyte MB and it failed BUT hopefully this was because I never knew at the time this can happen with no graphics card slotted....
My main concern at the moment is the MB ..I have blown those pins up even more in an image viewer and I still think the two pins I circled in my original post...Leave a comment:

Three replies ..this is great.....DSCN0836 is what I thought was the reason for the PC not posting IE the fan would go for up to 30 seconds,cut out and immediately power up again and keep repeating this sequence ..Then I found what I believe was a socket short...one can see the crossed over pin ..this was fixed..but the MB when re-installed did exactly the same...
DSCN0851 is a 1156 socket from another Gigabyte MB which works.....
Now just in case anybody thinks the picture was taken at an angle ..I covered...Leave a comment:

Hi...I have attached photos of a Gigabyte GA H55M-S2H M/B 1156 socket..If there is somebody with socket expertise I would be grateful if they could study the photos and give an opinion....
Without going into meaningless history ...to my eye the upper segment pins "especially" ones down the right had side have twisted slightly in alignment when compered to the lower segment....
Now I can actually see two pins that could be touching and I have yet to address this...
My main concern is this....are the upper pins twisted (although only marginally) out of alignment to... -

Hi..I have several power boards from Viewsonic Monitors IE Delta DAC-19M010 and Delta DAC-19M009 boards ....and everytime I work on a board I end up with bad Power Mosfets that supply the Inverter Transformer....
Now the mosfets are AP9973GH ( Advanced Power Electronics) or SSM9973GH (Silicon Standard Corp)
When I go to an electronic supplier here ..they draw a blank which makes me think that I need some cross reference to other manufacturers numbers for the identical Mosfet...
Can anybody please help me here..I have tried Digikey's website but find it difficult to cross reference....They... -
Lines on Viewsonic LCD Screen
Hi...Can I get advise on the Viewsonic VX2235 picture attached...As you can see it has two lines on it left and right of centre ...I presume that this is the LCD Screen and cannot be repaired other than with a new screen BUT just to make sure I am seeking a definate opinion here with the experts...
