    Another Dell 2007FPb problem

    Display: Dell 2007FPb
The issue is that the screen has a white filter across it and I can't see anything visibly wrong with any of the boards. I'm hoping that it is the inverter board and not the lcd itself, which is what I'd appreciate some expertise on.

If it is an easy fix, then I'd be happy to swap some components, but if it is much more, then I'll probably end up buying replacement boards. After all, these are at my work and time is a factor.

Trying cleaning and reseating all your connectors. Hookup a source and see if the picture improves as opposed to the test signal.

If you are new to this forum, we can help a lot more if you please post clear focused pictures (max resolution 2000x2000 and 2MB) of your boards using the manage attachments button so they are hosted here. Information and picture clarity compositions should look like this post.

We respectfully ask that you make some time and effort to read some of the guides available for basic troubleshooting. After you have read through them, then ask clarification questions or report your findings.

Cleaned all the ribbon connections and checked all of them, applying signal had the same result, and contrast/brightness settings were fine.

Anything else I should try? Where would this sort of problem originate?

Is there a factory reset on the on screen display menu.

What actually happens when you turn the brightness right down and the colour right up

I see the boards are populated with elite caps and whilst I have not seen this fault before it could be that a change in voltage somewhere due to faulty caps would cause it. If it was mine I would change all the elite caps

Didn't see a factory reset, but the brightness/contrast settings were on 50 out of 100 and they did act as they were suppose to, but they didn't help with the problem at all.

Check to see if there is a fuse blown on the T-Con Board.

              Dell 2007FPB Yellow Light Problem
              by multimesut
              Hello friends,

A yellow light was flashing on my monitor. It was like it was constantly cutting power. When I opened it up, I saw that the big capacitor in the high voltage line was leaking. I replaced it. When I turned it on for the first time, it had the same problem again. But then, interestingly, it got better. The yellow light was on steady. But the monitor wouldn't turn on. When I examined them with a thermal camera, I saw that the Fli5961-LF reached 50 degrees Celsius and the EM636165TS next to it reached 100 degrees Celsius and was drawing high current on the motherboard....

              Dell 15R-5521 keyboard problem (KBC?)
              by SDNarcia
Hello, I have a Dell 15R-5521, with the problem that the Ctrl, Alt, Shitf and Num Lock keys do not work, I tested the keyboard with a keyboard tester and it is functional, I also got another new keyboard and the computer has the same problem with the same keys. Check continuity between the ZIF connector from the keyboard to the KBC and all pins are correct. I cleaned the ZIF connector and the KBC and I still have the same problem. I reinstalled windows just in case, and it didn't work. I updated the BIOS to the latest version A16 and there were no changes.

              As additional information,...

              Dell N5110 problem
              by Achille15
              Hello everyone,
so, I have this laptop Dell Inspiron N5110 with a heating problem on both CPU (I7-2680qm) and GPU (GT 525m), I tried many solutions, like changing thermal paste every month, using thermal pads on CPU and GPU, even using thermal pads on CPU nearby coils; but nothing worked, just minutes after booting the laptop shuts itself down so I thought it might be a short problem, so I decided to check what's going on, so I went online and some tutorial (general one) said to check inductors in order to find the shorted circuit, after checking (CPU removed), I found the culprit to be...

Dell latitude e7470 not turn on .power buton on off and Run Power problem
              by masoksian
              Hi everyone,

I am dealing with the problem of turning on and off my Dell e7470 notebook.

The battery charge light is solid white, I press the button, the power indicator and the light on the button are solid for 1-2 seconds and immediately turn off.

The system does not turn on, there is no post.

I removed the RAMs and changed them, changed the battery, RTC battery, AC adapter, removed them and waited, tried again, it does not turn on.
The problem continues in the same way.
I tried to turn on the Fn key, nothing came to the screen....
