Re: hp w1907
Sometimes other brands might be thinner but taller. As long as you have the correct capacitance and voltage then you should be ok.
What make did you order? -

Re: hp w1907
You might have other capacitors going bad but not yet swollen or visibly bad. Also, the cable that connects the video board to the LCD might be improperly attached.
Check it, and post pictures with the boards as clear as possible if you can.Comment

Re: hp w1907
One of the most infuriating things on the Forum,is for people to devote their time and expertise on trying to help, and then the OP goes AWOL(Absent Without Leave) so to speak, and so Posts like this don't have any closure, and nobody knows what happened next. The greatest thing on the Forum,is for people to get help, successfully repair their Monitors, and say 'ITS WORKING AGAIN'.
The HP 1907 does have Backlight problems, usually associated with the top set of lamps, due to poor soldering and not good quality wire used on the return wires.Sometimes a failing Lamp can give a Pink screen and needs replacing,BUT if the Black Screen is more Crimson than Pink, then the only time I have seen this, was caused by faulty capacitors on the Logic Board.
Suggest you outline the fault symptoms you have,What happens with the Power Lamp ??is there an Image on the Screen etc etc, and I am sure you will get help.Comment

by myavocationThis post is specific to the Pioneer SP-SB23W, also known as the "Andrew Jones Edition" soundbar. Andrew Jones being well known in the audiophile engineering industry for superb audio designs. My reason for stating this is if you are looking for an inexpensive 2.1 channel TV soundbar, this one rivals many 5.1 systems -- and without littering a room with speakers (sub-woofer is wireless, can be hidden anywhere). As a 9 year old device, they should be pretty cheap on the used market -- perhaps dirt cheap if no audio-out.
Bought mine off of Craigslist cheap.
So here's the...-

by nobbnobb1I am trying to get a set of Creative T40 computer speakers to work again of which I believe the problem is bad caps (470uF @ 35V). So I get a generic set off Aliexpress. The brands are meaningless, but if anyone cares it's a "Chongx"
When they arrive, to my surprise it's much smaller than the originals. These are 8mm x 15mm whereas the OE is 10mm x 20mm. Unfortunately my meter does not test capacitance but I'm guessing there's no way this meets spec at 80% the size.
Thoughts? Is it still worthwhile or safe to try and install these to see if...-

by CornholioGSMHello,
I am now inside this Spectre X360 laptop.
First problem was melted usbc connector.
So i have changed connector, measured connection and tested charger - Input still on 5V - 0.0020A.
Then i have ordered and replaced TPS65994AD - now it looks for me better - still 5V - on start approx 0.3500A and after few seconds it goes down to 0.0100A.
Tested on Fnrsi tester.
I know that TPS is needed to be "programmed" to correct working by bios update.
Now i want to inject 20V , power laptop on, and make bios update.
Problem is, that for...04-25-2025, 05:31 AM - Loading...
