Re: Samsung SyncMaster B2330 Black screen

Is their anyway I can run the monitor before buying the CCFLs? it has 2 of the 4 still in it functioning and I would like to confirm that that was the only problem before I spend 40 dollars on new bulbs.

You can make two test lamps so it will keep the Inverter circuit from shutting down.

Yes, there is. At the electronics recycle center where I volunteer; we sometimes get a decent monitor with bad bulbs. But it would be too costly, and time consuming to repair. So we grab an extra set of ccfl's about the same length and plug them into the inverter where the bad ccfl's are. This prevents the protection circuit from shutting the monitor down. And it's still safe to operate. Then we duct tape the ccfl's to the lcd panel. This means the lcd monitor will now be running on just those 2 good ccfl's inside. And that's often still plenty bright enough. We tell a buyer that it only has 2 bulbs lighting inside, and give them a discount. You could probably find cheap used ccfl's at your local lcd/tv/electronics recycle center.

one little problem now, the monitor was clicking and making a weird noise and then this happened. is the monitor trash now? I feel like it is but maybe their is a simple fix. The ribbon cables off the motherboard post ccfl installation, it was making a weird noise that was rapid clicking and the screen had changing lines of color so I took it apart again and these ribbons came disconnected the contacts are smaller than a hairs with... idk what I should do now.. picture is posted

                  Samsung UE55JU6800K half screen dark
                  by Chrissygizmo
Hello everyone, I’ve just been given a Samsung UE55JU6800K smart tv as it had white spots on the screen due to the led lenses falling off. After refitting them & putting the tv back together I thought it was a nice easy fix for a free bedroom tv , then I tried it before screwing the back into place. I realised that the right side of the screen was darker than the other side, I removed the screen again as I thought the backlights had failed but they are fine.
I put the screen back in place & turned it back on . The screen seemed to be ok again but different screens on the same...

samsung galaxy ao2s very temperamental after screen replaced
                  by Chrissygizmo
Hi , I've recently replaced the screen in my Samsung galaxy ao2s, at first it wouldn't even turn on, it had the charging symbol on the screen when plugged in but the green circle wasn't going around to show it charging....
Ive eventually managed to get it on and working but it's very temperamental...

The battery icon always reads as 50% , when the phone goes into lock screen mode i sometimes can't get the screen back on unless I plug the charger in to get it to light up, also it keeps putting the camera app on.. u think it could be something to do with the side buttons. ...

Samsung LH82QENELGC/EN Help needed - Static line on screen
                  by Kiberge
                  HI guys!

I've got a Samsung LH82QENELGC/EN with a problem and need some advice and I hope this is the forum to use?
I'm from Norway so I'd like to apology in advance if my description of the fault is kind of simple or the names on the components are way off. 😊

the TV is powering up, working as normally and picture is all good, except a 1.5-inch-wide vertical line of snow/static across the screen.

This TV is a Signage Display/Public Display version and it's been used at my work for 4-5 years showing commercials 24/7. The fault occurred when...

Macbook 2017 with touchbar (A1706) won't turn on after removing the screen
                  by Ryan.man
Hello everybody! Posting this in hopes somebody has some expertise that leads to a clear path of troubleshooting that saves me a lot of time!

My macbook has the flex cable problem, the one that prevents the screen turning on. Ive been dealing with this for the last 3 years. Last year it went dead and I managed to fix it following youtube tutorials. But my fix wasnt the best, the problem returned a month later. This week, it went dead again. I again tried to fix it.

This time the original cable broke too close to the screen, it can't be fixed without tearing the screen...

Samsung UN50NU7400 - No Picture (but boot screen and screensaver)
                  by arbitarytwist
Have a Samsung UN50NU7400 which shows a boot screen and a screen saver if left on long enough but no picture ?

Would a moving screen saver confirm that the panel is ok or it could still be a panel issue ?
