    Philips PHP x19

HI all have a philips php x19 wide screen that i am working on.
Came to me with a lovely pink screen so changed the ccfls thats all ok now ,
but still had a shut down problem the usual 2 sec to black power led solid blue .
Changed all the caps for Rubycon yxg and noticed scorching to the board just behind the transformers (pic 1 ).

Still has 2 sec to black and suspect that these may be at fault (pic 2 )
but i cant find a spec sheet for these as the only markigs are 3055 at the top and 6G bottom right hand corner but no manufacturer name .
Has anyone dealt with these before or have any idea what i can use to replace them .
Also there is no buzzing or hissing noises coming from the transformers but will check them when new meter comes (broke my analogue one by treading on it ) only have my digital that does not have x1 resistance scale.
    Any suggestions welcome

It's a N-channel mosfet made by several manufacturers. For info purposes only, go to digikey.com and type in "3055 mosfet" in the search window. You'll get several manufacturers. Match one of those manufacturer's part number to what's avaliable to you in the UK.

You can go on ebay and search for 3055 mosfet. Some of the sellers will ship to the UK. A possible substitute is IRLR014N, 55V, 10A, 140 mOhm

Where did you source your CCFLs from?
I was trying fix one where the wire had become disconnected, instead I managed to crack the end of the tube just where the wire connects - to a little pin that's inside the CCFL and it has come out.
I can put it back in, but I don't think it'll work.

In the States, some members recommend ccflwarehouse.com. Don't know if they ship to the UK.

Their ebay account might ship worldwide?

Indeed their website says international shipping is $12.95 which is ~£8.00.

                    I'll take measurements tomorrow.

i tend to keep back panels from cracked screens for future use as some units are a mare to take the bulbs from its easier to swap the lcd overlay as long as its a match

Hi Sabre504. Personally, I would have put Panasonic caps in as they are top quality. Also if they were, for example, rated at 25v, put in 35v caps. Always go for 105 degree caps too. A higher voltage cap wont cause any damage, a higher capacitance will. Also using overrated components will help long term reliability. But your panel looks like it was getting well hot!!! This can be partially relieved with a computer fan blowing cool air up the back of the monitor or drawing hot air out. ANY air movement is helpful . Hope this helps.

Have you measured the resistance of the inverter transformers?
I'd measure each one, and compare. Of my last 4 "2 seconds to black" monitors, 1 was caps, 1 was a bad ccfl, and 2 were bad transformers.
36 Monitors, 3 TVs, 4 Laptops, 1 motherboard, 1 Printer, 1 iMac, 2 hard drive docks and one IP Phone repaired so far....

I am replacing the lamps with newer ones because i have found some new complete sets ready made quite cheap.
But have had another of these come in red screen (lamps) and a buzzing transformer.
I bought extra mosfets on the last one so i will test transformers and change all caps, lamps and mosfets and if it still buzzes i will get some new transformers

It does power up when pressing the power button.

I already try the power button while plugin the plug with no result.
Also put the latest firmware autorun-TPM191E_R.001.004.100.000.upg on a MBR/FAT32 USB stick at USB port2 with no result either.

Could this be an PSU or eMMC issue ?

                                      Hello,

I've got a really strange issue with the speakers on my Philips 43PUS7506/12. It makes this awful loud buzzing now. It happened after it was attempted to be wall mounted - I think the back got squeezed and something broke.
I thought maybe the speakers got damaged, so I replaced them - no dice.
                                      • Using the internal speakers, it always happens.
                                      • Using the headphone jack, it never happens.
                                      • Using the digital/optical out with a soundbar - it happens after about 2h/movie runtime - it's never as drastic, it just pops in and out, but I didn't want it to damage the sound bar
                                      ...

                                      Hello Team,

New issue on LCD panel where I need to find out the cause and the potential solution.
This is on the Philips 50PUH6400, the LCD panel is an INNOLUX V500dk2 xrs1.

I have image, on the right side, the image is more or less normal even if there is a small blur on edge, on the left there is an issue.
When moving up and down in the menu on the right the image is slow to disappear, and is darker, like red/brown.

I've checked voltages, no issue found comparing right and left side of the panel driver.
VHG VGL CKV... are the sames on...

                                      Hello partners.

Could someone tell me how to make this Philips TV source work without the mainboard being connected? The model of the board is EAX65423701 (2.1) and the model of the Philips TV is 40PFH40009/88.
The TV is dead, there is no standby light, however there is a voltage of 12v on the pins ( included 12v VAU ) and 3.2v on the PS-ON pin (see photo) when the power board is connected to the main board. If I disconnect both boards I only get 8 volts on 12v pins. I would like to rule out a fault in the main board by making it work, but so far no one has been able to tell...
