I know that the length and diameter need to be correct. Dose a ccfl have a voltage ratting? Does it matter which end is wired to the output or return lines? Are there other things to consider when finding a replacement lamp?

Happened to me once (i saw it from a monitor repaired by someone else).Since there was a set of 2 new ccfls, the guy installed one new on top and one new on the bottom.Screen was colored evenly after that (yet, the colors were different a little bit than with the original lamps)There are 10 kind of people in this world: those that understand binary, and those who don't.- ASUS ROG Maximus IX Code

Re: What data is required to identify a CCFL lamp?
The only way to tell the color temperature of the original CCFL is to power a functioning one up on an external inverter.
I know I can identify a 3000K, 4100K, 5000K, and 7000K beyond that visually I'd be stumped.
5000K is a neutral white color 7000K is still white but with a bluish tint and the further you go up in kelvin the bluer the light gets.Elements of the past and the future combining to make something not quite as good as either.Comment

by mikey5791Hi,
This monitor previously is my main working monitor which i have been using for 8~9 years. Yesterday, when i switched on my pc from fresh to power on, the monitor is just black no display. I started dismantle to look inside the monitor power board but nothing looks suspicious or burnt. So i took my external ccfl inverter to try to power the monitor ccfl lamps which consisted of 2 lamps on upper part and 2 lamps on the lower part.
Found out the upper ccfl lamp which is supposed to connect to cn304 on the power board did not light up. Then i installed a used working...-

by ttmi100xGreetings everyone,
I have a HANNSG Hi221 monitor that exhibits two seconds to black issues (backlight goes off, display is still on as confirmed by shining a flashlight on it) with some additional oddities...
The monitor failed on me with a standard "2 seconds to black" some time ago prompting me to initially replace most of the electrolytic capacitors (some of them were bulging/leaking).
Things kinda sorta worked for a night, then the problem returned along with some flickering and "buzzing" noises.
Upon closer inspection...6 Photos-

by thesameHy guys , i have a DVR board DS-80104 REV 2.2 that was powered wrong, i have some smds on the board that are blown and i can't identify them , maybe if someone has this board somehow and we can identify the smds', i have searched online and i can't find a schematic.
The smds are SOT-23-6 , one of them i think it has the marking ADJF since i found another one on the board with this marking , but the other one it seems that it starts with AG or it looks like. I would really apreciate if someone could help me identify those IC's .

by khelaneHello
I have a big problem and that is that in some cases when repairing active pfc power supplies I cannot work with a test lamp. I can only get help with 5 volts standby and for starting and starting I have to work without a lamp and this way there is a possibility of parts exploding and other parts being added.
Sometimes with a multimeter test the problems can be reduced to some extent, but I had several cases that had to be tested on and online and recently two varistors exploded. They had terrible resistance because the power supplies were over 800 watts.
Is there a way... - Loading...
