Whatcha think this one has? I think bad cable (not worth it)

See pic here. It either looks like a bad ribbon or worse, damaged panel. But i want a second opinion.

The only LG I have dealt with is one here with a Lien Chang PCB. This is an older LG design from around 2004 from an L1710S. I recapped it, so it works for a a while and then shuts off. The next step is to change the primary and a few smaller caps. I wouldn't be buying this stuff in auctions, if someone personally sold it to me or I found it I would work on it, so my advice is against buying it.
"We have offered them (the Arabs) a sensible way for so many years. But no, they wanted to fight. Fine! We gave them technology, the latest, the kind even Vietnam didn't have. They had double superiority in tanks and aircraft, triple in artillery, and in air defense and anti-tank weapons they had absolute supremacy. And what? Once again they were beaten. Once again they scrammed [sic]. Once again they screamed for us to come save them. Sadat woke me up in the middle of the night twice over the phone, 'Save me!' He demanded to send Soviet troops, and immediately! No! We are not going to fight for them."

Yikes! I can't tell the screen size here, but if its not pretty big (meaning big enough to make the brain damage worthwhile), I would think this would be a bear to fix. Judging by your experience level I've seen in your posts, however, I bet you could do it. I guess it comes down to if it is cost effective to do it.

Just has a 22" Widescreen, exactly the same.....put the LCD to Logic cable in correctly, and I'm a winner, doest not happen all the time, but makes up for some of the real bad ones I get.

Wow....how'd you see the # enough to get the screen size?

If its a 22", then I'd go for it!

Followed your advice already. I picked up a 19" Sammy in PRISTINE shape for $50. How much work was required? ONE CAP. Will get me by till i fix my beast of a 21" CRT, and then will easily fly for double what i paid for it.

And yes it was a 22", for the same $50 i paid for this one. I might think of grabbing it if it's still there after i sell this one.
