Re: Whatcha think this one has? I think bad cable (not worth it)
The only LG I have dealt with is one here with a Lien Chang PCB. This is an older LG design from around 2004 from an L1710S. I recapped it, so it works for a a while and then shuts off. The next step is to change the primary and a few smaller caps. I wouldn't be buying this stuff in auctions, if someone personally sold it to me or I found it I would work on it, so my advice is against buying it. -

Yikes! I can't tell the screen size here, but if its not pretty big (meaning big enough to make the brain damage worthwhile), I would think this would be a bear to fix. Judging by your experience level I've seen in your posts, however, I bet you could do it. I guess it comes down to if it is cost effective to do it.Comment

Wow....how'd you see the # enough to get the screen size?
If its a 22", then I'd go for it!Comment

Will get me by till i fix my beast of a 21" CRT, and then will easily fly for double what i paid for it.
And yes it was a 22", for the same $50 i paid for this one. I might think of grabbing it if it's still there after i sell this one.Originally posted by PeteS in CARemember that by the time consequences of a short-sighted decision are experienced, the idiot who made the bad decision may have already been promoted or moved on to a better job at another company.Comment

by Patch2I have a broken connector (believe it's a 6 pin mini-DIN) on a cable. The metal shroud and all but one of the pins are separated from the cable, and just stuck together for the photo. The other end is an unknown rectangular connector. The cable is for the foot pedals on an Italian made electronic piano, and the company is out of business. Looking for ideas on how to fix it. I have a soldering iron, but I'm not very skilled at soldering, so getting a retrofit for the broken end may be beyond my ability. The other end would be easier to replace, if I could get a mini-DIN cable with the same number...8 Photos

by Tr0llHi guys! I realized you have a lot of knowledge here so i am hoping you could point me in right direction with my odd issue.
The Tv is a Philips 58PUS8545/12, it had no picture but working backlights.
Original T-con:
Opened the Tv and tested to unplug one ribbon cable at a time. With this test i could see that i got fine picture on both halves as long as there was only one ribbon cable connected, with two connected picture were gone.
First replacement T-con:
I thought it might be t-con and ordered new t-con from china(supposedly tested)... -
by fweoneaWhile at university, I connected my HP-Pavilion x360 14-dw0156ng laptop, running Windows 10, to a monitor using a provided USB-C cable. Immediately after this, my laptop's screen turned black and the device stopped working entirely. There are no signs of life such as fan noise or LED indicators, holding the power button does nothing. I've previously used this same monitor model and cable without issues, the cable typically charges the laptop as well.
I've attempted holding the power button for over 30 seconds, removing and reinserting the battery, and trying to power it on with only the...01-16-2024, 11:35 AM -

by paparazzo79Hi guys.
I purchased the monitor from the link below:
https://www.hannspree.eu/product/ht-273-hpb/
Since I will be using monitor from bed, I'd need longer usB type A to type B plug cable.
I got one which is 4.5m long, regular one
May I use it without harm to the monitor?
I suppose cable which came with monitor is regular type A to type B,not some speical cable.
I could picture what is labeled on the cable, if it matters for assistance.-
