Monitor making weird noise when charging resolution or in standby mode

Hello, guys i need some help, i have an old fujitsu siemens LCD monitor, and is making weird noise when is changing resolution or in standby mode.

I open it up, to see if it is any hardware damage, but i only see 2 capacitors bulging on the logic board, i'll probably change them. On the power supply circuit board, only one thing caught my attention, the transformer seems to have leaked something out of it and the mess around it. Do you think there may be a problem here?

The transformer looks OK, just the varnish it's been dipped in.

I'd recap the power supply too.
And as much of the signal board- those can be difficult to remove, but tinning their leads with good leaded solder can make removal easier.

    Good luck!

    EOL it...

Don’t worry about that transformer, it came out of the factory like that.

When the power supply caps croak, it stresses the ones on the logic board.
Just recap the PSU and those logic board caps.

I managed to change the capacitors from the power supply board and from the logic board, and the weird noise is gone, but it was a pain in the ass, mostly because i have a cheap soldering iron from China, and it won't properly heat to melt the solder.

Always add some fresh solder when de-soldering the parts, it will transfer the heat a lot better.

HannStar Hanns-G HC194d LCD monitor repair

Normally, I never post repairs this quick after I do them, because… I am usually very slow. But today, I’m making an exception here. Why? No idea. Perhaps only because the repair details are still “fresh” in my head… which is ironic, given this is a 16 year old monitor that hardly anyone will care about today. It is new to me, though. I picked it up last November from someone on my local Craigslist. It wasn’t very close to where I live, but was close to a family friend that I had to go visit anyways. So after watching the posting on Craigslist for a few weeks and seeing it getting...

                Weird Charging behavior Aspire A517-51G
                by Benchaton
Ok so, I've got a 17" Aspire 5, when I put it under any sort of medium high load it just stops charging and show blinks the status LEDs which I suppose mean it get's in power safety mode. Only notable things I can see being an issue are my CSME firmware which isn't the one from Acer because the Acer one was a vulnerable version relative to the current firmware I have installed (latest for KabyLake / KabyLake Refresh), the PC being only able to supply 0.05W to the battery on load spikes, and the slightly loose power inlet.

I mostly suspect the latter but it seamingly started happening...

HP Probook 470 G4 - Power and Charging Problem
                by Scoff
Looking for some help with this one if anybody can assist please? I have an HP Probook 470 G4 Laptop which recently started to intermittently failing to turn on, with intermittent white LED light(charging LED) by the charging port when it should have been charging and showing an orange LED instead. Definitely some sort of gradual failure. Now the laptop fails to power on at all, no charging LED, no Power Button LED either - seemingly dead.
Stripped down to the bare motherboard. The original HP battery, when disconnected from the motherboard, is reading 0.00v - possibly some sort of protection...

                AOC AG493UCX 49-inch monitor - Firmware request
                by wattage
                Hello Badcaps Community,

I purchased a preowned AOC monitor that is not working and out of warranty. It was sold as not working. I am looking for guidance on self-repair. In particular, I am after the firmware for the monitor. At the end, I have included monitor model information and links to pics and vids of the issue.

The problem is that it will not display a picture on any of its inputs. And the on-screen menu does not appear. The power button works properly. It powers on with the remote as well. But the on-screen menu does not appear, even when not connected to any...
