                    Re: Monitor Audio RSW-12 Schematics

Can someone help me with this?

I got a new subwoofer amp from Monitor Audio to replace a broken one.

The new amp haa 12 hole molex ribbon cable that is suppose to go to the control board on top of the subwoofer (gray cable with black connector see pic). The existing control switch on the top of the subwoofer has a 8 pin connection (white connector see pic).

Since the wiring diagrams are attached to this post, can someone help me convert this 12 hole/wire molex to 8 pin? All these Monitor Audio Control switch are the same. So, most likely 4 of the connection on the gray ribbon cable arent used.

If anyone knows how to align this up or knows of a gender bender that might work, I'd owe you beers.

Would the below be the schematic for the control board?

If this is a new amp from Monitor Audio, why not ask them why it has the wrong plug? Might be safer then connecting it up wrong and damaging something.

I was just offered this sub at a great price, but it blows fuses on power up. Any ideas on where to start? Assuming I should begin measuring on the AC Board and go from there. Thank you.

Hi After a little help with a component identification on my Monitor Audio Silver W12, it is fitted with a UcD400MP amp board. It no longer powers up, after dismantling the amp I can see a blown component on the mains input, unfortunately it is damaged to much to get any identification details, hoping someone here can help, I have attached a few pictures of the board. Any help or advice welcomed.

It is likely a NTC Inrush Current Limiting NTC Thermistor, the board lists it as R5 if you can get a rough idea of its diameter the cold resistance is likely around 5Ω
See if there are any numbers left on the other side
Maybe a Bourns BN-LG15Y5R0Mx or ant similar NTC 5D-15

Thanks for that RJ, its roughly 13mm in diameter, no markings left at all unfortunately. have ordered a couple of 5 ohm 13mm ones, will give it a go and see if anything else is damaged.
